the son of a bitch doesn't want to be here anymore! everyone saw how much he halfass played and cruised thru most of the season last year. what do the owners think he will do now? he may whip it out and beat off during the game just out of spite.

you don't seem to get it...Paul didn't sign an extension...He may get less money but will walk for nothing and he's not going to a shitty small market unless that pay him $200 mil per how's that for a bargaining chip

Or not.

It would be his choice.

I would forfeit the whole seasons salary and sit out and force Stern to sell that fucking team best way he can...sometimes you have to make the sacrifice...Paul just gonna have to do it..If he plays his cards right he could get the last laugh

Great idea.

Anyone defending the league and Stern's actions is simply blinded by Laker hate at this point. There is a massive conflict of interest going on here with the league owning one of its own teams. What's worse is they actually HAVE approved trades in the past, which sets the precedent for legal action here.

And it's not like we're talking Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol. This is Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom for CP3, it's nowhere near an unfair deal or an uneven trade of talent.

Paul should just say his hamstring is sore and get paid and not play a single game this season.

Show Stern, Cuban and Popovich a lesson for meddling.

CP3 could do a Sprewell and just get ousted the fuck out and play overseas.

Rich little faggots refusing to work.

I think we all agree on the fact that the lakers weren't getting the better end of the deal. the thing we are all laughing about is the fact that the trade pretty much was said to of happened then vetoed by the owners

The owners own the team; the owners can say what their team can do.

Of course it's stupid.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass says: "It's not true that the owners killed the deal, the deal was never discussed at the Board of Governors meeting and the league office declined to make the trade for basketball reasons."

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/7333285/los-angeles-lakers-deal-acquire-chris-paul-off

"declined to make the trade for basketball reasons"

Parse that carefully and it's exactly true. Instead of making the trade for basketball reasons, they killed the trade for other reasons. LOL.

He knows CP3 getting ready to tax that ass - legally:

Yahoo! Sports reported Hornets general manager Dell Demps had been allowed to negotiate trade offers without interference — and then this happened after he made a deal that did cost the Lakers a four-time All-Star in Gasol and the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year in Odom.
