The Spurs must have finally given a rookie the entire 120% available. Every other team in the league does it automatically. The Spurs haven't. They shorted George Hill to the point that he almost didn't sign. IIRC, Ian Mahinmi is the only player in NBA history who got 80%. Even James Anderson has to reach certain incentives to get close to 120%.
YESSS! WE SIGNED OUR OWN DRAFTED PLAYER!!!!!
WE STAAAAAAAAAAACKED!

"Playing Kawhi wouldn't be fair to the team, he needs to get over himself, and these playoffs aren't for him.
Oh, we're getting humiliated in the playoffs? Uh, hey, how about I play this rookie kid now that we've already lost.
Wow, this guy can play! I've found my new favorite player for next camp!" - :pop:

TD said the Spurs are REALLY high on Leonard. Hopefully they nailed this one.
Manu calls him Cow-Hi, which was pretty funny.

But really high on him for this season? That's what I'd love to know. We'll see.

how can the spurs not like the kid. They traded up to get him and he fills one of the two biggest need son this team

Spurs haven't had a pick this high since Duncan. If Parker and Manu could find a way to crack the rotation in their first season, Leonard can...just as long as he stays healthy.

There is nothing wrong with that ... although I hope Kawhi does not chew on his mouthpiece like Wallace - he always looks as if he is smoking a cigarette on the field.
