I made my girl a silver account yesterday, and was able to sign up using her gmail instead of a Windows ID. Back when I signed up for Live several years ago that wasn't an option, you HAD to make a Windows ID.
So anyways my question is how do I change my own account to my gmail and ditch the Windows ID I don't use? Google was no help and the only option I'm seeing on the console is to change it to a new Windows ID instead of whatever email.
I know it can be done though, because a guy at work did it but don't remember how he did it. And on top of that some of the google results had people changing theirs but not explaining how exactly.
Anyone know?
