The national media loves this trade for the Clippers which means the Hornets clearly won. Hornets finally get to rebuild.
CP3 will take them to the playoffs because he can do that. He can add 13-14 wins for this team. However in playoff time, they're gonna need a wing scorer. Otherwise their peak will be the 2007-2008 Hornets.

Clippers took a gamble, CP3 might be a rental and they gave up so much to get him.

That would make them the greatest Clipper team of all time.

That may be true, but it won't be enough to satisfy the fan base. They're always going to want more and that core won't be able to deliver unless they add a wing playe.
If I'm the Clippers, I make a strong run for JR Smith in March. He won't be too expensive and he could be the missing link.

I also want to take the time to thank CP3 and D-West for putting the team back on the map after the Baron/Mash/PJ Brown era ended. I wish them all the best. No I'll-feelings toward either one.

Great trade for Hornets, good one for Clips ...
Gordon has a case as 3rd best SG or at least very close to Manu and Joe Johnson ...he may move past them. Like someone else said a true SG has become rare. He only lacks a couple inches. Kaman is good trade bait or you can flip Okafor instead ...I was not that impressed with Aminu ...

Butler is a monster whenever he's healthy. Let's see how he recovers from his knee injury of last season.

Caron is solid, but I'm concerned whether he's lost a step. I think they need a true SG.

I'll give it up to you DPG. Patience proved to be virtuous in the end.
gordon is an undersized 2 guard that can't play point. i say the clippers got the better end of the deal.

They are gambling that bringing in Paul will also keep Griffin. I agree
