His fake ass helped veto the CP3 to Lakers deal (http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/wizards/michael-jordan-new-cba-not-perfect-helps-small-market-teams-he-opposed-paul-trade-to-lakers/2011/12/14/gIQA6E6OuO_story.html). He just couldn't stand the fact the Kobe would have passed him in rangs, easily.

We still have a good team. It will happen MJ. Book it. :toast

That was a bad trade for the Lakers. If you knew a thing or two, you would've known that much...

Oh trust me I know. It would have only been a good trade if we could have gotten CP3 and D12. But as the trade was, I agree it sucked. But what pissed me off was the fact that they blocked it when other NBA transactions went down without a hitch. What makes this deal any different? I'll tell you why: because the Lakers will sell out Staples Center with or without those two players - and Stern knew that.

I'm not tripping. We still got the best front line in the league and our starting center has lost 10 lbs (down to 278 lbs), conditioned his body all summer, and is ready to go. Our best player, to quote SAS, is "jumping out the gym". We'll be there when it matters: representing the WC in the 2012 Finals.

Die.

What playoff seed will the Spurs have this year?

1. Lakers
2. Thunder
3. Dallas
4. Clippers
5. Spurs?

It would suck to see the Clippers take you guys out in the playoffs and send the TOSB to the retirement tree of woe. :downspin:

I don't think Howard would've been traded and it would've been a shit trade for LA. Lakers will find a better trade, it obvious they're looking to make a move. Especially now Kobe is not happy with the moves made thus far...

Kobe leads Jordan 5-0 in rings that he won with a better player on the team.

You got the Spurs ahead of the Grizzlies? Vegas has the Spurs at 25/1 to win the west.:lol

Your Vegas link also has the Lakers at 3:1 :lol I'm sure even you would agree that's unrealistic

Better than trading Odom straight up for nothing. I think the Lakers biggest weakness by far is point guard. That would've solved it and then some. They still got a quality big in Bynum. They could've had the perfect trio from a chemistry stand point.

Awesome. Kobe's tied with Steve Kerr and has come up clutch in two fewer pivotal games.
