Military given go-ahead to detain US terrorist suspects without trial (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/dec/15/americans-face-guantanamo-detention-obama)


Barack Obama has abandoned a commitment to veto a new security law that allows the military to indefinitely detain without trial American terrorism suspects arrested on US soil who could then be shipped to Guantánamo Bay.
I thought he closed that place down.

Hell, they'd have that done in about 30 minutes if it were W. There's not been enough nattering. Be honest, if this were a George W. Bush action, there would be one of those "red button" threads hanging at the top of the forum for a week.

Well, when it was happening it was because the Sun got hotter. Since about 1998 the temperatures have dropped or held steady. Coincidentally, the Sun's been a bit cooler during that period. Causal or Correlary, you decide because, East Anglia is busy hiding the decline.

Let's move on. Besides, Obama is getting ready to throw Americans in a gulag, he vowed to close on his first day as President, and hold them indefinitely.
