sorry bout that Lngrr...but that's not anything to joke about....they might have a case against the Thunder I'm sure they knew something before the trade went down...But after Len Bias it's just so ironic that Boston gets dealt another player with a heart ailment...smh

Jeff Green will miss the entire 2011-12 season after a heart ailment known as an aortic aneurysm was discovered on a routine physical.
The condition will require surgery but Celtics doctors say Green will be able to resume his career next season.
The surgical procedure will be performed on January 9.
ESPNBoston is reporting that Green's one-year, $9 million contract is expected to be voided as a result of this medical problem. Boston would retain his rights.

Hope he gets well... I wonder if OKC knew of this before the trade last last season...

Even if they didn't, Boston's staff should have caught that prior to the trade being made official.

Boston may be going down he tubes really soon, really fast. They should have caught the situation last year at the initial physical, I guess to void the trade.

Exactly, especially after the Cuttino Mobley situation a couple years ago. Teams should be on the lookout for heart conditions now.

Yeah, this really sucks. As much as I hated Jeff Green, I had a small amount of hope that he'd be useful off the bench this year. Now what the fuck are we going to do?

At least he made the right decision to get the surgery. I hope it goes well for him. Pretty sure that this now makes the Perkins trade one of the worst the Celtics have ever made.

lolz. They trade Perkins cause they knew they weren't going to re-sign him anyways. Now same deal with Green.

Well, we'll really be under the cap next year....
