That's the buzz on Twitter. Nothing on CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC yet.

Edit: MSNBC now has a breaking news banner.

North Korea has nukes, but Iranian nukes are troublesome due to their terrorism and how they can affect the world's oil. Plus, with them being a Shiite Muslim country, they can use the nukes to throw their weight around against neighboring Sunni countries.

I always thought NK would come up with some myth for Kim Jong Il to make it seem like he lived forever. I think admitting he died is really strange on their part, I don't think his son will reign nearly as long as his father - maybe a coup or perhaps the powers that be over there are signaling change to the crazy ass backwards policies of old.

Or maybe he's not really dead.....I wanna see a body!

More likely, a show of force. They're already test firing missiles (http://news.yahoo.com/n-korea-test-fires-short-range-missile-report-130006284.html).

And, don't doubt they're also doing so, internally, to the millions of North Koreans starving on the communist farms.

North and South Korea both called themselves Korea:

Both North and South Korea claimed sovereignty over the Korean Peninsula as a whole, which led to the Korean War of 1950. The Armistice Agreement of 1953 ended the fighting; however, the two countries are officially still at war against each other, as a peace treaty was never signed. Both states were accepted into the United Nations in 1991.

The semantics are useless to argue. My point is the same.

Go ahead and believe we would do any better invading North Korea the second time.

I don't necessarily believe that, but it would actually be justified.

North Korea IS run by a tyrannical dictator and DOES have WMDs, and if the USA wasn't lying then NK would clearly be TARGET NUMBER ONE.

The USA picked a really stupid lie to justify invasion of Iraq due to the existence of NK.

And, it exists because we settled for a cease fire because we had fought to a tie. Otherwise, the entire Korean peninsula would look like North Korea and my wife's best friend would most likely be dead instead of practicing medicine in America.

There's the small matter that al Qaeda would have been less likely to pour into North Korea, so we could kill them like cockroaches, than they were to pour into Iraq...which they did by the 10's of thousands and of which we killed by the 10's of thousands.

There's a strategery here, try to think globally, greyforest.

Also, it appears North Korea is in for some type of change. Let's hope Dear Dick Leader's passing will open an opportunity for Democratic reforms in the peninsula.

It wasn't the only justification but, if you're going to differentiate between North Korea and Iraq, it's a strong point.

That and not drawing China into a conflict while you're already fighting on one other front.

Then, of course, you start with all the justifications in the AUMF in Iraq that, alone, justified our action in Iraq.
