The Spurs won games 1 and 2. Pistons were kind of not giving it all they haid, expecting the game to come to them. It didn't. A change of environment certainly did them good, as they have been in steam-roll mode since the series shifted to Motor city.
Detroit responded to the Spurs agresiveness and shifted in to a higher gear. So far, San An hasn't responded to that.
You die-hard fans can go on ranting about the reffing, but you have to give major credit to the pistons defense, because, they are clicking right now. (btw. anoyne notice, how Ben tries to draw a charge every game on Parker or some other Spurs guard. His case is completely valid, the refs just don't fall for it, because of Wallace's strength. And yes, he flops. So does every other player in the world trying to draw a charge).
Duncan and Manu looked like they were facing a death penalty by the 4th quarter. If the Spurs don't respond in game 5, things could get very interesting.
The pressure is equally balanced on both teams for game 5. If Detroit wins, they get two shots at winning at the SBC, if the Spurs win, the title is theirs to lose.
Prediction:
Detroit takes game 5 by a small margin.
San Antonio takes game 6 in a breeze, playing inspired in front of their home crowd.
This puts us in a Game 7, which is, frankly, the best thing basketball fans around the world can wish for.
Anything can happen in a Game 7.
