Not that I would ever do such a thing, but I'm just curious to hear your thoughts. If someone in the retail/service industry was being rude to you, or if you work as a cashier and know how it works, how would you get somebody in trouble for being a total arsehole...

I doubt there is a magic button to get them fired. Perhaps talk to their manager. Why?

If you wouldn't do such a thing, then why are you asking how to?

Don't fuck with someone's livelihood. I don't care how much of an asshole you perceived them to be.

i worked as a cashier once and unless you really went to the extreme and cussed the customer out and there were witnesses or something, then they won't do shit as soon as you leave. customers cry about dumb shit sooooooo often that they learn to tune most of it out. they'll smile and tell you they'll take care of it then do nothing.

You could report them for stealing from the store, and if they are a questionable employee they might be fired.

My cousin's husband was the manager of a Safeway store I used to shop at a few years ago. One time I was in line at the checkout and the young cashier let his friends (who were in line in front of me) walk thru with 4 cases of beer but only charged them for a bag of chips! So when it was my turn I told him "I'll be back, I need to talk to my cousin" and walked over to the managers office and told him what I had witnessed. Sure enough they had suspected this kid for a while and escorted him off the checkout lane immediately. His dumbshit friends were still in the parking lot when the police showed up and got nailed too :lol

My story is similar to mrsmaalox:

I think I got a cashier fired at Target once. I got home and discovered that the first thing on my receipt was a pair of men's Wrangler jeans that I had not bought. I called the store, and the store manager asked for my receipt number... When I got there, she told me that she had watched the video of the transaction. The cashier had finished ringing up the person in front of me, not including his jeans, and he paid. As I was loading my stuff onto the conveyor belt, she scanned the jeans put them in his bag and them proceeded to keep checking me out. I was really busy and had bought about $200 worth of stuff, so I did not notice until I got home and filed my receipt. The manager gave me a refund, and I assume the cashier got fired because I never saw her again.

This.

However had a friend get fired over a sexually explicit comment to a customer after working there ten years. But the lady was a rich snob with a laywer I hear.

One elaborate but efficient plan would be to photoshop pics of him and the manager's wife. Actually that might be easier than pinning him for stealing cash.
