Mavs will start slow, finish strong, and pull off a shocking repeat.

People will remember the mid-90's Rockets after this title run, and will realize the greatness of the Mavs, as they did not have to rely on the GOAT "retiring" for 2 years in order to pull off their title runs, as opposed to beating the elite, by beating Miami and Los Angeles once again.

Mavs >>>>>> Rockets :lmao

Rox traded for Drexler midseason. Guess that means the Mavs would have to trade for Kobe midseason to ring again.

I wouldn't look passed the Mavs to be a strong team when the playoffs get here, but I tend to agree with Tyson Chandler suggesting that ownership and management seemed to be content with the one championship for now and mailing in this season for the hopes of re-fortifying the roster next summer. You can argue whether it was financially wise to let Chandler and Barea go or not. It likely was. But for the current season, it certainly seems that the team has taken a step back. Odom, VC, Delonte, Wright, et al aren't bad pick-ups. But I do think it's more of a case of throwing in some older but talented players and then hoping for the best. I don't like the VC and Delonte pick-ups in terms of them taking playing time from Beaubois and Jones and the fact that youth and athleticism could help keep this team stay fresh during the course of the condensed schedule while developing those young players for the playoff run. I think their growth could get stunted a bit and that could have a negative effect on their ability to produce once the playoffs arrive.

Dirk, Kidd, VC, Marion, and Odom would have been a terror in the early 2000s. Now, it's a Rolling Stones tour.

You're being a bitch. Cuban fucked it up. How many dumbass owners have successfully destroyed a championship team the following year in the history of the NBA? Only one, and you guys better land Howard or Dirk becomes a joke again and Cuban gets exposed for all of his shortcomings.

This is why your organization is a joke... your owner is a moron and it rubs off on the rest of the Maverick franchise. It's apparent when we see stupid ass nigs like you posting stupid ass shit, trash talking the player that was solely responsible for putting you over the top and giving you size and defensive presence in the paint. You owe Tyson every bit of support, because if it wasn't for him being on the team, there's no chance you contend last year.

Have fun sucking ass with a washed up ballhog VC and idiot buthurt Kardashian.

mavs were champs of 10-11 but the sorry asses never got the hearts of "champions" imho, 11' championship was a fluke to some extent. they DID win it but it doesn't mean they were that great, they won it because other competitors were NOT competitive enough. what they showed the same time last season was the strong hunger to win, and right now complacence is presenting all over the team

right, massive comeback efforts against the Lakers twice, Thunder, and Miami twice, does not show the heart of a champion.

A Mavs fan using the great Rudy T line...makes me want to puke. Umm...no, don't do that again. It doesn't work for your team. The only reason why your team has a ring is because LeBron lacks the heart of a champion. This season the clock has struck 12 and your glorious horse carriage has turned back into a pumpkin.

The only reason why your team has anything is because MJ was forced to "retire" for a while.

The Mavs had to go through the best the league had to offer. Houston didn't.
