"It looks like Congress' recent jabs at TSA were just posturing after all. Last Friday, President Obama signed a spending act passed by both houses of Congress. The act gives TSA a $7.85 billion budget increase for 2012 (http://www.hstoday.us/briefings/today-s-news-analysis/single-article/tsa-funding-up-in-2012-consolidated-appropriations-act/d2de1c5444b43c89e10cfc663d96c869.html) and includes funding for 12 additional multi-modal Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) teams (http://news.slashdot.org/story/11/10/28/1921254/tsas-vipr-bites-rail-bus-and-ferry-passengers) and 140 new behavior detection officers (http://thehill.com/blogs/transportation-report/tsa/187989-tsa-expands-chat-down-passenger-interviews-). It even includes funding for 250 shiny new body scanners, which was originally cut from the funding bill last May (http://tech.slashdot.org/story/11/05/16/1922259/US-Congress-Tries-To-Cut-Body-Scanner-Funding)."

Typical congress. When everyone is focused on other things, they do what we don't want.

"We're broke"

TSA cancer metastasizes.

"national security" covers a multitude of Constitutional and other violations.
