View Full Version : I was wrong about the Spurs.

I really bought into them being a legitimate competitor to the Hornets for 1st place in the SW division. Unfortunately, Kim Dunkin sabotaged his team once again as they got blasted by the Rockets. Spurs are just joining the other teams looking up at the SW divisional favorites. Like I said before, this is the Hornets division to lose.

Hornets would be pretty fucking stupid not to tank this season, tbh

Its hard to tank when you're too good even if you're rebuilding.

Spurs suffer from having great management and trainers/scouts, but a small market and relatively poor owner.

That keeps them on or near the bubble a lot.

Next year, if Tim retires, I can see some pieces being traded and some money being pocketed.

Spurs are just like the Hornets... not contenders.

Even Manu or Parker?

Look who magically shows up when the Spurs lose (see weakness number 2 in your attribute breakdown).

Parker especially. Manu's age makes him less of a trade piece believe it or not.

Because he was posting under his Spurs team account then switched when they lost to troll.

Rockets are deep, young, and have talent everywhere...if they gel, look out. This season will favor the younger teams. It's not going to be a marathon this year...it's a sprint.

spurs are not playing 100% which is quite obvious. such young teams (thunder, clippers, memphis etc...) seem to have superior talents but experience remains the primary element that sets the trend in the playoffs, teams who're more experienced (mavs, lakers, spurs) will show you what they really are when it really matters and they'll make you pay if you underestimate them

29% as a team vs the Suns won't win the divsion for them... Nor will losing to Sacramento w/out Cousins....

I feel like the entire western conference has regressed. Well I guess some basement dwellers got better, but overall the west looks really weak early on.
