View Full Version : Why won't Romney release his tax records?

I don't have a link at the moment but I've heard and read about this.
If, yeah right, if he gets the nomination will he be forced to release them? Oh hell yeah.

I think this should be the last of anyone's concerns as a reason to vote for someone or not. I wish dirty politics would end.

Because people hate rich people.

Agreed. I never understood why people make a big deal out of tax records...if a person is successful, and they pay the appropriate taxes in accordance with the code, then it's not a big deal.

What we should really be asking for are records of sacramental rights - if they are good Americans and Christians they should easily be able to produce the documents.

Willard Gecko still pockets $Ms at 15% from "fees" of Bain Capital, exploiting a hugely unfair loophole for fund managers, who pay capital gains rates on (management) fee income which is obviously not capital gains any more than a doctor or lawyer fees are capital gains.

Just another way the wealthy can afford to purchase the govt policies that privilege.

why did obamo not produce his birth certificate

Because he's made a fortune from buying companies, bleeding them dry, slashing staff and benefits and then moving on, he knows it and knows that it would quickly ruin his chances of getting nominated. He's the business equivalent of the aliens in Independence Day. He's the evil 1% personified, he's made millions and millions of dollars at the expense of working people and most republicans don't know that about him yet. The Obama administration is praying that he's nominated so they can go full-court attack on him as soon as there's no other choice.

BTW, I think it's hilarous at the charge of dirty politics to ask Romney to release his financial records by the same people that wouldn't shut up about Obama's birth certificate.

:lmao Another Donald Trumped. Agreed, I wouldn't base my vote solely on a tax return but what is there to hide? Hummm..?

What is there to hide? Is that why it's OK for searches, because you shouldn't have anything to hide? Such a reasoning among the populous will lead to getting rid of the 4th amendment.

It's a constitutional requirement for the president to be a U.S. citizen by birth.

Do presidents routinely get asked to release their birth certificate to the public?

Just the black ones...

Just the ones with questionable circumstances surrounding their birth.

Questions that have since been answered successfully I might add. I just disagree with the notion that it was wrong or dirty to ask.

Maybe there are 'questionable circumstances' surrounding Mitt Romney's tax records?

Of course that military neocon fuckstick AFBlue calls his birth circumstances questionable.

tbh, I can't wait for the YouTubes from 'experts' declaring the tax returns a forgery once he releases them...

IRS would investigate, though I honestly don't care that the question is being asked of him.

That's for law enforcement.

Yes, it is. It's also hilarous that the charge of dirty politics to ask Romney to release his financial records comes from the same people that wouldn't shut up about Obama's birth certificate. Those two facts are in no way mutually exclusive.

The reason Obama released his birth certificate and Romney didn't release his financial records: You can't fake financial records.

And a tentatively forged birth certificate is for?

My God. He did it to himself. The issue was settled for most people, until he released that questionable PDF file.

You didn't answer my question.

And let me throw another one. He did what to himself?

You didn't answer my question.

And let me throw another one. He did what to himself?
LOL...

I explained it then, when we discussed it before. Do you choose to forget or refuse to try to understand other people's viewpoints?

If there was reasonable cause to investigate forgery, that would be for some government agency. probably the FBI. There isn't reasonable cause. His releasing a multilayer PDF was outright stupid. Understandable since his whole administration is outright stupid.

What did he do to himself? Really now, I don't think you are that stupid as not to follow my reasoning.

So, that's law enforcement. No need to spin around, when you know the answer, just let it out.

What did he do to himself? Really now, I don't think you are that stupid as not to follow my reasoning.

I don't think I'm THAT stupid either, thus I don't really follow your reasoning.

What did he do to himself by releasing his birth certificate?

OMG...

He added more flames by introducing a questionable document. Why can't you get that through your head? He would have been better off not to release anything than in the format he did.

OMG we've been through this before. I'm not insane. I'm not going to try to reason with you and expect different results. You must be as you keep bringing up the same idiocy over and over.

So you don't find anything questionable about it. Okay.

Also, Willard Gecko started off with inherited wealth.

Some Equal Opportunities Are More Equal Than Others

Born rich nearly always stays rich

Born poor nearly always stays poor.

So much for the myth of American Land of Opportunity and upward economic mobility.
