I was like holy shit, Larry Hughes still plays? I found a couple others that I was surprised to find out are still in the league.

Larry Hughes, Orlando Magic.

Other players you're surprised to realize are still playing in the NBA?

Don't know why you're surprised at Harangody. He's only been in the league a year, and he's 6'7". There's usually at least one team willing to give those types of guys a chance to work out.

6'7 power forward with underwhelming athleticism.

I'm surprised he's lasted this long with basically his best attribute being hitting a jumpshot, and yet he's only shooting 25% from three point range in his career.

Yup, surprising.

edit: I did think this was his 3rd or 4th season. Didn't realize it was his 2nd season in the league. So that's my bad. I don't think he's long for the league.

You probably thought it was his third because the C's traded him last year to the Cavs with Semih Erden for pennies (2nd rnd pick I believe). Fwiw, I liked Erden, but the J O'Neal and Brandon Bass are admittedly better bigs.

I guess I wouldn't say I'm that surprised he's in the league, but I had no idea Tracy McGrady was on the Hawks now.

Reports: Warriors close to signing Nate Robinson (http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/01/03/reports-warriors-close-to-signing-nate-robinson/)

http://nbcprobasketballtalk.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/101668724.jpg?w=320 Getty Images Because they needed another guard off the bench… wait, no they didn’t, but the Golden State Warriors may be adding one anyway.
The Warriors are close to signing Nate Robinson (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1153/nate-robinson), according to Marcus Thompson of the Contra Costa Times (http://www.ibabuzz.com/warriors/2012/01/03/warriors-close-to-signing-free-agent-guard-nate-robinson/). He said the signing may happen Wednesday and Robinson could be in uniform by the weekend. This will be a one-year, $1 million deal, reports Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated (http://twitter.com/sam_amick/statuses/154346944322478081).
We’ll see how much run Robinson gets. Obviously, Stephen Curry (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1611/stephen-curry) and Monta Ellis (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1164/monta-ellis) are your starting guards for Golden State and soak up most of the minutes. After that you have Dorell Wright (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1059/dorell-wright) as a swingman taking up a lot of minutes, then rookie Klay Thompson (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1837/klay-thompson) (who needs to get some burn so he improves and you see what you’ve really got). Then it’s Ishmael Smith (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1781/ishmael-smith) and… now Nate. He’ll play the point but he’s a scoring point first, second and often third.
Robinson will bring Golden State energy off the bench and some nights a lot of points as well. But he is inconsistent, inefficient and not a great defender — there is a reason he barely got off the pine for the Thunder last season. (To be fair, he got some playoff minutes with Boston the season before.) In Golden State it’s an interesting fit, but if they want energy and someone the crowd will love, they found it.

I disagree. I think it's pretty clear he lost a good 2-3 pounds overall.

My first thought was Jerry Stackhouse, was stunned/appalled to see him on the Hawks bench during the Bulls game.

The only other one I can think of is Ben Wallace.

I could've sworn he retired, but wow.

Except now he's causing the Lakers to have painful experiences and soon to be memories.

Tmac still better than all our SG/SF with Manu out.He is playing well enough for the Hawks.

I'd say Hughes too and the entire roster of Cleveland in 2007 outside James (if there is someone who still playing in the NBA). Only LeBron was able to reach the Finals with so much garbage around him.
