New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon to miss 2-3 weeks with knee bruise

The New Orleans Hornets (http://www.nola.com/hornets) announced Friday morning that shooting guard Eric Gordon (http://topics.nola.com/tag/eric%20gordon/index.html), who missed four games with a bruised right knee before returning in Wednesday night's loss to the Philadlephia 76ers, experienced swelling in the joint afterward and will be sidelined for two to three weeks.
Gordon told reporters Wednesday morning that he'd had some soreness in the knee prior to the season opening win at Phoenix, a game in which he made the winnning shot with 4.2 seconds to go. Gordon says he remembers bumping knees with Suns' forward Grant Hill sometime in the third quarter, exacerbating the problem. The knee swelled on the team's flight home following the Phoenix game.
Gordon scored 20 points in each of the two game he has played this season.
