You just gotta want to quit.
Quitting dipping is 10X as bad as quitting smoking. I've done both cold turkey.

The gum and patches just transfer your addiction to THEM instead of the cigs. Most people don't know this, but the PHYSICAL addiction is over in two weeks. Everything after that is mental.
Oh, Gee!!

No shit.
All the patch is, is another nicotine delivery system.

The trick here is that nicotine addiction isn't particularly harmful... at least, it's no worse than caffeine... what's the real killer with tobacco is the tar and all the extra chemicals...

a comrade of mine is quitting and the gum helps him immensely. Something about the taste.
So La Revolucion disagrees 100% with the title of the article.

Call us when he's been quit for a decade, and we can have this argument. The long term quitees disagree with the n00b. If he's using the gum, he's still a nicotine addict.

many misconceptions here.
- one thing is quitting smoking and another being addicted to nicotine
- nobody said how long it takes to say 'I quit smoking'
- "help" is the key word. Anything could help you quit. Even a daily blowjob from your girl could "help"
so the generalization that "gum does not help quit" is just flawed.
