so much for Newt's positive campaign.
Is anyone surprised? this guy would rather bring the country down in flames than admit he sucks as a candidate.

:lmao
As a Democrat this whole process is nothing but schadenfruede for me.
:corn:
Political theater at its best, and a clear demonstration to me as to why Republicans in general can't be trusted to run governments.

He was willing to shut down the government over bad seating on an airplane.
I am not surprised he is going to throw bombs now.

Funny how Newt basically did what John Edwards did (cheating on the wife who had cancer), but Newt gets the pass and can run for President, while Edwards' own party booted him because they are pussies and scared little bitches. Since then, not too many "real" words on poverty from the Dem party. Idiots.

Bitch deserved it...:lol
She cheated with him while he was married to his first wife...why did she think it would be any different with her?

Right, cause there has never been times when Democrats did anything like this during the political process.

Newt begins to back pedal on Bain bashing.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0112/71336.html
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Newt Gingrich signaled Wednesday that he believes his criticism of Mitt Romney’s record at Bain Capital is a mistake — and that he’s created an impression that he was echoing Democratic rhetoric.
Gingrich conceded the problem when pressed by a Rick Santorum supporter at a book-signing here Wednesday.
“I’m here to implore one thing of you. I think you’ve missed the target on the way you’re addressing Romney’s weaknesses. I want to beg you to redirect and go after his obvious disingenuous about his conservatism and lay off the corporatist versus the free market. I think it’s nuanced,” Dean Glossop, an Army Reservist from Inman, S.C., said.
“I agree with you,” Gingrich said. “It’s an impossible theme to talk about with Obama in the background. Obama just makes it impossible to talk rationally in that area because he is so deeply into class warfare that automatically you get an echo effect. … I agree with you entirely.”
After ditching promises of a positive campaign, Gingrich had been leading a multi-candidate pile-on of candidates attacking Romney’s Bain record, starting in Sunday’s debate and continuing in campaign events Tuesday. If he pulls back on the criticism now, it would be the latest abrupt shift in tactics from a candidate whose campaign has been full of them.
In addition to providing another example of Gingrich’s erratic campaign style, the decision could put the former House speaker in a precarious spot: the pro-Gingrich super PAC Winning Our Future is set to begin a $3.4 million airtime buy for a 27-minute long documentary showcasing people who lost their jobs when companies Bain was invested in closed. Through Tuesday, Gingrich had expressed support for the film.
After the event, Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond argued the film was not actually about Bain specifically.
“It’s the decisions that Romney was making as CEO that are under review of public opinion,” Hammond said. “We’re not bringing Bain up, we’re responding to questions” prompted by the video.
Glossop described himself as “delighted” at the response during an interview after Gingrich spoke and said he hopes Gingrich and his allies will not continue to hammer that theme.
“I would certainly hope that they’re not going to,” he said, noting that he’d consider switching to voting for the former House speaker if he quickly overtakes Santorum in the state.
The Bain attacks weren’t generating much traction elsewhere in South Carolina, when Rick Perry on Wednesday again trotted out the line about Bain’s “vulture capitalism” he’s been using in recent appearances speaking in Lexington.
Perry’s made slapping around Bain the centerpiece of his effort here this week, saying that local businesses were “looted” by the Boston-based private equity firm.
For Foster White, a 52-year-old small business owner who attended Perry’s event Wednesday morning, it doesn’t much matter.
“At some point, you create jobs by having some venture capital to invest,” he said. “If it’s all above the law, and he’s doing it fairly, it’s fine. Let’s say it was a terrible business, wouldn’t it be better to extract what you can and then go in and reinvest it? Or would it be better to let it self-implode.”
~~What a wuss.

Not like this recent Bain bashing. That's over the top.
The Bain bashing isn't really new, it's just an indication of what Newt thinks of his chances to win.
Newt when he was irrelevant...
”I would just say that if Gov. Romney would like to give back all the money he’s earned from bankrupting companies and laying off employees over his years at Bain, then I would be glad to listen to him and I’ll bet you $10 dollars — not $10,000 — that he won’t take the offer,” the former House speaker said,
Newt when he thought he was going to win...
“It was a very brief moment where frankly, he got under my skin,” Mr. Gingrich said in an interview with Fox News commentator Sean Hannity following the Thursday night debate in Iowa.
“I responded in a way that made no sense, doesn’t fit my values, and made some references to Bain. I’ve said publicly he’s a good manager, he’s a good businessman, but he got that round. If your scoring rounds in boxing, I give that round to Mitt,” Mr. Gingrich added.
Now that he's irrelevant again he's back to Bain bashing.

What does Romney have to do with Newt? Is he seemingly disengenuine and boring, but he's not a smug asshole like Newt. The thing that pisses me off about Newt's performance last night is he probably got a bump for being a smug asshole and delivering a couple lines.

Got it...misunderstood your original post. I hope Romney and Santorum keep jumping on him. There's a reason why his unfavorability rating is so high, and it's a major reason why he just can't be the GOP nominee.
