You lucky people still have one thing nobody else has. And if anybody can guess what that is I'll go another hiatus/48 hours long, starting midnight tonite.

Thank Christ I put that "midnight tonight" addition in there real quick.:rolleyes

I should stand on the age old exclusion that relatives of the principle are forbidden to enter, but, I won't.

and something funny happened today, Khloe just found that she is not a Kardashian so she is gonna be in a bitchy mood and Lamar is gonna have to listen to that cow, poor Lamar gotta feel sorry for him, things just keep getting worse

tbh most Spurfans would tell you they would love to have kept Ian.. athletic big body..unfortunately size and defense isnt a requirement to play for the Spurs anymore.. as long as you can spread the floor and put up some points your good for 20+ minutes.

Dallas does not have him on a contract after this year and does not have Bird rights.

Would some other team throw more money at him as the Mavericks are trying to create cap space for a "Big Money" free agent next summer?

The Mavies starting center already makes serious cash and is locked in for awhile.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ian goes somewhere else next year if he continues to improve. His deal has been that his one on one defender is below average and he has trouble staying on the floor.

SA should have kept him a year longer, but they made a money move.

I don't think it was a money move, he signed a small contract with the Mavs. Pop just lost patience with him after 3 seasons. The Spurs didn't even exercised his 4th year, and he was a low first founder.

He doesn't stretch the floor.

He does these days. He has a nice midrange jumper.

he was raw and needed playing time, which for whatever reason Pop wouldn't give him in the ridiculously long 82 game season.

After David West left, Mahinmi is a regular starter:

http://www.nba.com/2015/news/features/ian_thomsen/12/02/pacers-mahinmi-provides-stability-on-and-off-court/index.html

apparently his speed is helping him in this small ball league.

So not only did West help out the Spurs, he helped up the Pacers and Mahinmi. Read the article for details.
