God damn it... I've been on the ticket purchase page since it opened up and I'm still on stand by.

Not looking good.

Weekend 1 has sold out...

You'd probably be better off aiming for Weekend 2 or go via the ebay/scalper route.

I haven't gone in a couple years because of work, but I was aiming to go this year--think I'll wait another year to mark my return.

I was on weekend 2... not weekend 1... and they just sold out about a minute ago.

womp womp womp.

Oh okay...did you get them?

no. woke up early for nothing. should have just pre ordered them last year when i had the chance.

a few hundred of them are already up on ebay, but fuck that shit.

Yeah, I should've gotten them earlier...oh well, I mean, most of the bands I've seen live already, so I'm not missing much. I could also see them here locally when they come through, but I miss going to Coachella for all the people I meet and befriend. It is something dope for all those who get a chance to experience (so is Bonnaroo and ACL)...

yeah... i really wanted to do a festival this year so ill be looking at sasquatch or bonnarroo. acl is too close for me to consider it being a "vacation".

I hear Sasquatch is going to have a killer line-up. Perhaps check that one out? It's also in a great locale as well...

I'm leaning towards it. I really wanted to do a roadtrip to california and stop by joshua tree on the way to coachella... sasquatch would be a flight and it kinda takes a bit of the fun out of it.

Yeah man, that is a dope roadtrip--though I'm on the West Coast, I tend to spend a week or 1.5 weeks out in the Rancho Mirage/Palm Springs area leading up to and past Coachella to enjoy a little vacation. I don't know if I like this two weekend style, but I guess its what they want nowadays from Paul Tollett (the organizer).

well they sold out both weekends in 2 hours so the demand is there. bad thing is that they are only taking bands that are able/willing to do 2 shows.

It is interesting to see the likes of Radiohead doing 2-weekends in a row...thought they were a tad bit more fickle than that. Well, I could still get tickets from people disappointed with the EDM...so we'll see. I shouldn't have waited, but then again I couldn't commit that early.

Kind of off-topic, but if you do make Coachella then San Jacinto Peak is worth checking out in addition to Joshua Tree when you're in the area. It's definitely my single favorite part of Southern California.

I was really thinking about going since At The Drive-In is playing (the only announced show to date since they announced the reunion, IIRC) but not interested in hanging out in 120 degree heat for 3 days.

The 2nd weekend is when it really starts to heat up--the two years that I went when they moved the festival up weren't as hot as the early days when it was more towards the end of April and such.

Can't be more than a hunderd-and-fourteen.

I'm seriously thinking about going. Mainly because Dr. Dre and Snoop dogg but also The Weeknd is going to be performing.

Radiohead, Andrew Bird, Cat Power, St Vincent, Amon Tobin, Bon Iver, Explosions in the Sky, Flying Lotus, Jeff Mangum, Kasabian, The Shins, Girl Talk, The Black Keys, Justice, and Dre with Snoop for the hell of it... fuck anyone who can afford to go. This year's lineup was made for me.

got to the page where you order and selected 3 tier 3 GA's.... hit continue and it just froze up and said "You have reached this page due to an unexpected error. Please return to the event listing and try your request again."

When are you too old for music festivals? Seems like such a pre-adult thing to do.

got tix for myself and 2 friends. they sold out of all 4 pricing tiers except 5. total came out to like 870 something.

was under a lot of pressure from my friend because she had already bought plane tickets and a hotel room.

If you have the money, then do it.

Sunday's lineup is the weakest, I agree
