Green's defense by far the best since the Denver game. JA best game of the season ... hopefully he gets more run.




Green got caught up on a couple of screens he shouldn't have. But the rest of his defensive play was pretty damned good. And the extra things like going after that inbounds pass. One play, Splitter got an easy rebound - but it was because Green was boxing his ass off against Aldridge. Forcing Thomas to travel because of the way he contested that shot. A good foul on that fast break - Blazers get 1 FT, instead of a guaranteed 2, or an and-1.

He gets a lot of deflections. And even when he gets a little lost on D, he usually does a pretty good job of recovering, and he NEVER gives up on the play. I don't think it's coincidence that his guy doesn't score very often.

I know a lot of people still aren't convinced, but I really like the way he plays.
