tbh he's not playing differently from them 2 games where he shot like 20%...it's just so happens that his shots are going in.
Which is a shame, because he's being rewarded for bad basketball. he could have ended tonight's game with 30 points on 60% and 6 assists if he wasn't so hell bent on racking points.
Lakers don't have much of a chance to win(or even get out the west, tbh), but the chance they do have becomes smaller if kobe shoots 30 times a game.

I hope he keeps it up and doesn't realize establishing Bynum and Gasol in the post is key to their success. N!gga has the best frontline in the NBA and is still chucking up 30 shots a night to catch Jordan, which is irrelevant being that Jordan's point total came in, realistically, about 10 seasons while Kobe is in his 16th...
But kudos to Kobe for pulling a Roddy Beaubois :tu

This was a good stretch of games for record-chasing and make his case for AllStar starter... not that he has much of any competition at the SG spot in the west

Manu was not going to unseat Kobe, even if Kobe only scored 10 PPG or so.
The All Star is a popularity contest, and Manu can't beat Kobe there.
But yeah, Manu was pretty much a lock for reserve.
My guess is Ellis will take it now.

brah, I was agreeing with you. If manu just stays injured(a good chance, tbh) the whole season then he would surely win the mvp with his per.

Come on, even your homer ass Spur tainted glasses knows that would of never held up ...small sample size. Him keeping that up is as likely as Kobe keeping the 40 point games streak alive tonight.
I wish he had started to pass the ball instead of that shot on a 2 on 1 break .... that was really bad he had another 2-3 shots over "semi-doubles" ...
Those are 3 shots (i theorize he takes 3-5 really bad shots every game) that if he passes to Bynum or Pau keeps the bigs involved and his FG% up. But Kobe is like Avon, bull-headed. Avon "wanted his corners" ... Kobe craves shots. But to me the number of shots never bothered me with Kobe only the forced ones. But id rather that than hot potato or players afraid to take the key shots. Last nigt we came out really flat in the third built the lead and the bench lost it again in the 4th so we needed Kobe's offense but those 3-5 bad shots all came in the 2nd half.
