Only New Jersey, Sacto, and Charlotte give up more points. I don't really put too much stock in that stat b/c it's still early and Miami will get better, but still a weird stat so far...

They're playing at the second fastest pace in the league. More possessions, more points. When you look at a metric that accounts for pace and measures points per possession, like defensive efficiency, they're among the top defensive teams in the NBA.

well without looking i would think that maybe they are playing a fast pace? that's the only way teams could shoot a low % and still score a lot of points, if they are getting a lot of shots. or maybe miami is giving up a ton of offensive rebounds.

Yeah they're 6th in defensive efficiency and have the 2nd highest pace rating. Points per game allowed has always been a misleading stat in basketball.

they don't mind conceding points imho what they all care'bout is their own stats. fast speed results in more shots for both teams and the heat always end up scoring more then the opposing team with their big-name n!ggers each dropping 20+ points
