In less than 2 weeks (Feb, 7th), Thomas contract will become fully guaranteed for the year. Spurs don't have a lot of time to make up their mind whether or not keeping him.

So far, he has played 15 minutes of garbage time. I can see Pop giving Thomas significant minutes in 1 or 2 games before the deadline to help him making his choice.

The most likely outcome is Spurs waiving him. With the luxury tax, he is quite expensive to keep.

It's hard to tell how good he is. We know he can jump, but he's pretty slim and I don't know how good can he play defense with someone backing him up, the same in offense. I hope he'll have a better chance to prove himself in the next couple of games.
