If you had to win one big game, which QB would you take?..

Both in their primes..

Greg Oden

Tebow

Where was his god yesterday when he was throwing some of the worst passes a professional quarterback has ever thrown?

Don't know why Oden brought his name up..

I love Peyton. For years I have called him the best qb in the NFL, but that all changes when Eli gets his 2nd ring in a few weeks.

He did in 2005.

He did in 2005.

That was the exception to the rule--the one year that the defense somehow clicked and was ranked I think 11th in the league/2nd in scoring defense--which is probably the best indicator of how good one's defense is. Eli Manning has had a consistently good to great defense around him and the Giants have always prided themselves on having a strong D going all the way back to the Lawrence Taylor days. I think that you can make an argument over which QB is tops in the Manning family, but overall you'd have to give Peyton the edge because he is the better oreo eater.

Wow just did some research and the Giants' D wasn't statistically great in 2011--but that is attributed to the injuries they did suffer. They are missing their best cover in Terell Thomas...

This shouldn't even be an argument, Peyton.

Give Peyton the team Eli has and he would never lose a game.

The 2005 Colts were proof that Peyton was a choker. No way that team shouldn't have won the Super Bowl. They actually had a really good defense as well. The Colts offense sputtered against the Steelers in the divisional round less. LOL Peyton blaming his offensive line when he himself couldn't figure out the Steelers blitz.

I'd have to side with Peyton. Eli may be wrecking right now, but the fact that he has a defense that can help him out, gives him a better shot at winning. The Colts have always had a questionable defense for the past decade. Peyton just bailed them out everytimg and now it's showing.

Spurtacus

Peyton Manning.

I'm convinced he would have more than one ring if the Colts didn't have shitty defenses the last decade.

Considering the Steelers won handily against everyone else they played in those playoffs and how good their defense was, it's hard to say the Colts choked that game.

Either way Vanderjagt deserves most of the blame tbh

Peyton. I don't think rings should define a player in the NFL, considering the NFL season is ostensibly the playoffs. The NFL is a league where "regular season" stats and performances actually matter.

As much as I love Peyton, Elite The Eliminator Manning is ahead of him now. Elite Manning is going to win at least 2 more superbowls in the next 3 years. This is the beginning of a NY Giants dynasty.

With this win Eli will go down as a legend in NY forever. He is right there with Derek Jeter now.. All time Peyton will probably have him beat but Eli has been so clutch in the big games.. He is a HOF and a legend in his own right..

stretch

Eli certainly has an argument for late-game clutch situations, not because Peyton is unclutch, but because Eli tends to just be amazing in the clutch.

But Peyton still > Eli for now. Eli is more naturally gifted and talented IMO, but still doesn't exhibit the consistency that Peyton shows.

Back in October, I'd have easily taken Peyton.

Not today. Eli is easily the calmer, more clutch Manning.

Peyton's happy feet make me nervous just watching him.
