Anyhow, Duncan's been playing well the last 5 games. 15.4, 9.0, 3.8 on .532 in 29 minutes a game. He's putting up Pau Gasol numbers in 10 less minutes a game. But to be fair to Gasol, he does play with someone who chucks, stat pads, and refuses to pass the ball.

honestly sons the Spurs should trade Duncan to the Lakers for Gasol straight up. Gasol was able to give Kobe 2 rings, but it looks like their chemistry died off last season. The Spurs are going to be rebuilding and moving on from the Duncan days so considering that this is the final year of his contract, they may as well go ahead and unload him so they can get something in return. The Lakers made it clear that they wanted to trade Gasol before the season, but Stern stepped in and stopped it from happening.

Lakers get Duncan and maybe another scrub player to try and get one last run at a championship with Duncan holding Kobe's hand.

Spurs get Gasol who is a relatively young PF to take Duncan's place.

Man, son. How 'bout all the shooting Kobe is doing this year? And all the freethrows he's getting despite not driving to the basketball? It's like the NBA is actively trying to manufacture his ascent up the all-time scoring list, the next name to be surpassed on the list being LSU great Shaquille O'Neal.

Yeah. When Camby was in Denver, he'd guard Duncan. In Portland, Sheed would guard him. Shawn Bradley/Diop in Dallas. Kurt Thomas in Phoenix when they acquired him. Just because he abused the much smaller Robert Horry since Shaq was too fat and slowfooted to stop Duncan, doesn't mean it was the order of things for all teams.

But yeah, it would make sense for the opposing team to put their biggest and best interior defender on an ancient David Robinson, Nazr Mohammed, or Rasho :lol

Pop hid Duncan against Shaq during the 1st 3 qtrs. He did guard Shaq in the 4th though. Why? Because when the games on the line Shaq ain't the same player. That's why Kobe closed for us. Pop hid him on players like Horry - otherwise he'd foul out.

Duncan feasted on players 3-4" smaller than him. Smart, tbh. Made him a HOFer. :toast
