Or name your top 5-10.

10. Richard Jefferson/Andre Igoudala/Anyone-more-athlete-than-basketball-player
9. Paul Pierce
8. Carmelo Anthony
7. Josh Smith
6. Andrew Bynum
5. Russel Westbrook
4. Jason Kidd
3. Amare Stoudemire
2. Deron Williams
1. Chris Bosh

Im sure plenty of peeps will say "Lebron" or "Kobe" which is just ridiculous but feel free to state your opinions.

I would remove Kidd and Pierce because they're the only ones in that list that actually won a ship...

Kidd still being viewed as anything more than a game manager at this point is fuckin retarded tbh

right now, sure... but he was the goods in his prime... took the fucking Nets twice to the Finals..

I will say I was on the Dwill train but he looks like he is barely hanging on to a top 5 PG spot. So I agree with his inclusion. He can still pass but his explosion appears lost so if he is not shooting well he is just an above average PG.

I dont get all the hate for Westbrook. Kid was the 2nd best player on teh court tonight with 3 HOF'ers and one future one on the court. Josh Smith also playing better now that he gets to play PF some ...

Because he's not a point guard. He had a 1:1 assist turnover ratio tonight.

He outplayed a bunch of grandpas, great. His best asset is his athleticism and I don't think there's a slower team in the NBA than Boston.

He's a chuck and takes away shots from KD.

Harden > Westbrook

Your #10s aren't hyped by anybody..

Bosh is shitted on by everybody..

Kidd isn't highly regarded by anybody as anything more than a game manager..

Westbrook is criticized by everybody..

I'd go..

1. Deron Williams
2. Joakim Noah
3. Tyreke Evans
4. Kevin Martin
5. Danny Granger

Im talking his whole career. Kidd's career shooting percentage is 40%. He never could shoot and could always be contained in the playoffs yet hes regarded as top 5 pgs in the NBA ALL TIME. Last year he was outplayed by JJ Barea.

And Richard Jefferson and Andre Igoudala were both hyped up considerably throughout their careers considering they were both the epitome of "more athlete than basketball player". Theres plenty more in that list. Trevor Ariza, Corey Maggette etc.

And yes, Bosh is shitted by everyone now but he was part of the extravaganza last year. He was part of a trio that was more hyped than any "big three" since Jordan-Pippen-Rodman.

I agree that Kidd is overrated from a career-standpoint..I agree that Jefferson was overrated at one point..

However, I assumed this thread was to discuss the players that are currently overrated..

Seems like Kidd is properly rated to me. He's not viewed as the same player he was in 2002. He was garbage for a good part of the regular season last year and turned it up in the playoffs...and this year his owner has made it clear that it is more important to clear cap space than defend his team's title. This is Kidd's victory lap.

Not sure Smith is rated that high to begin with.

He definitely ranks up there in terms of wasting talent

Take all inefficient, high usage scorers who don't do other things well for their position.(So, people who are average/below average rebounders, defenders etc), as well as former all stars who are still working based on reputation, even though aging has diminished their ability.

Kobe
Garnett
Pierce
Rip Hamilton
Deron Williams
Monta Ellis
Luis Scola
Michael Beasley
OJ Mayo
Glen Davis
Carmelo
Amare
Brook Lopez
Eric Gordon(The people thinking he was too much to Give up for Chris paul)
Jamal crawford
Andrea Bargnani
Most of the Sacramento and Washington Rosters(People know the teams are shit, but see the players and think that they're talented.)

Paul vs Rose
PPG: Rose
APG: Rose
RPG: Rose

To be fair, Iverson averaged 7.9 assists a game for an entire season. This is the first season Rose is averaging over 8 assists a game, but he's only played 13 games so far.

Paul vs Rose
FG%: Paul
3PT%: Paul
Assist-to-turnover ratio: Paul
Steals: Paul
PER: Paul

I think Rose v. Paul is a good and interesting argument. But I'm not convinced either side of the argument is an indisputable and irrefutable slam dunk.

I`d go with Amare and Boozer. I dont have time too watch many NBA games, but this two guys are the most overpaid and overrated.
