I have to say, my faith on the guy was wavering in today's game for the 1st time this season...

But then he pulled up, and swish!

Hope it's a sign that he's on the road to recovery.

In the meantime... Neal with it! :cooldevil

Its bc Tony laid into him.

After he hit the shot Tony was his biggest fan.

I wonder if Neal can finally just relax and play his game. Imo, the past couple of months have been a whirlwind for Neal. Emergency app. surgery, having to play pg., staying in the shape, not knowing when the lockout was going to end, etc...

Neal will be fine, not once during this slump have I seen him hesitate to take a shot. All shooters go through slumps but its when they start doubting themselves that those streaks become longer. Neals gigantic balls dont allow him to doubt himself though tbh.

This is what we are going to have to live with until Manu gets back. Parker just doesn't keep everyone in the flow. Especially on nights like tonight when he takes over the game. Then when he cools off, no one else is ready after having been standing around watching TP. Got lucky tonight.

I love Pop's and the Spurs' confidence in Gary as well. Neal with it

I hope this Neal isnt another case of Pop ruining a shooter by turning him into our back up pg.

Sorry mate, he's playing like trash still... I want him back too but not that he can provide lots of D TBH. He didn't help on that end in the PO last year. the O great, but gimme some D. I just hope that when Manu comes back Leonard's minutes are not in jeopardy, neither Green's. Neal should be moved as an asset when you need some instant O.

Neal 3p% this season is 28.6%. He needs to shoot the ball better, it's as simple as that.

Is it just me, or is Neal's shot flatter than last year?

Yeah, you can thank that sugery and lockout for that one. It seems to me, he still needs to get into better shape and form. I wouldn't worry yet tho, there is still alot of basketball to play.

His defense is so awful that if he does not begin to shoot better the Spurs might as well bench him. Hitting one three does not make up for the 15 points he seems to give up every night.

*rubs his eyes*

Wait, are we talking about Bonner, Neal, or both?

neal did this.. neal did that..

it's a shooter's slump..

the key here is when i saw him take that shot.. he didn't even hesitate.. shot that shit like he knew it was gonna go in..

that consistency's gonna come back

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

He's Gary Neal. He hits big shots. He may slump at times but it's gonna come back and I will always trust him to take the game winner.

Yet the JA fanboys would rather keep that lazy ass on the team rather than have an ice cold blooded assassin like Neal to hit gamewinners 5-6 x a year outright.

After that, I'd trust Neal with the last shot every time.

Hopefully that shot will get Neal back in rhythm. Either way, I always cringe in the game blog when people call him RMJ. Some may be joking, but others sound so serious. Yeah, Neal's D sucks like Mason's. But Mason was already a non factor by this time in his second season. Neal is still one of the guys I want to see take the last shot.

it is very cool to see neal hit a big shot even after struggling all game.

i remember a few times when horry had a horrible game but would still hit the big shot when it mattered most.

hopefully neal can continue improving on his defense and become an asset on both ends of the court

Nice call Pop. Now why can't you just play Splitter 30 minutes a game so the spurs can win a game like this without needing a last second play drawn up?

If Pop was perfect, you wouldn't post on here.
