Yesteryear wasn't much fun for Houston fan. Their two best eras are marked by a game that led to the institution of instant replay and another one that is greatest comeback in playoff history. I guess the Earl Campbell Monday night game is the first one that comes to mind.

And just for the hell of it...here's one the better Earl Campbell highlight videos. This is six and a half minutes of real fucking football. If only his era and the Moon era could have coincided......

Between 1985 and 1989 the Browns played in eight playoff games. Six were decided by five or fewer points, two went to overtime; one went to double-overtime.
This is the '86 divisional playoff against the Jets, when Cleveland came back from a 20-10 deficit in the last four minutes to tie and eventually win in double OT. Bernie threw for 489 yards in this game, still the postseason record:

The old AFC Central of the late '80s.

The late, great Eric Turner:

There was a guy on Youtube who had a ton of classic Browns games from the '70s and '80s in their entirety but he got shut down. Really too bad.

Eh, losing the Oilers meant losing Bud Adams. I have no problem with how things worked out. Fuck Bud Adams.
