Scola will score 15pts in the 1st quarter

Damn.. i dont know about that decision. Seems like too much coddling going on.. he only played 25 minutes last night.

Anyway.. it will be nice to see Tiago get extended minutes.. but it doesnt mean as much if its not playing next to Tim.

If Duncan wasn't going to play tonight, why did Pop conserve him last night? If you are going to sit Duncan on back-to-backs, at least pick ones where he played a lot in the first game.

Pop should also sit Parker tonight and play Joseph a lot of minutes to figure out if he can trust the rook or if the Spurs need to go get someone else.

Say what!!!???!! Man....I never wanted a player gone from the Spurs more than I want him and Richard Jefferson gone. ****smh****

This looks to me like Pop wants to surrender this game to the Rockets tonight.

Does the team has a shrink as part of the coaching team? I think the coaching staff could use one right now.

So this means Bonner plays 40 minutes and Splitter 8?

Spurs Brazil
01-21-2012, 06:54 PM
JMcDonald_SAEN Pop admits the call was made more difficult by last night's loss to Sac. "It would be easier to fold ... but that's like cutting off you ...

JMcDonald_SAEN How's Duncan handling the night off? "Tim's not a very happy camper right now," Pop says.

JMcDonald_SAEN Pop: "(Duncan) probably ought not to play four games in five nights if I want to have him at the end of the year."

OMG I thought you were joking. Pop sits Duncan and starts Blair and Bonner up front?

I dont know if that was actually 'conserving' him.. i think it may have had a little to do with Tiago playing so well and wanting to keep the hot hand in so to speak.

It would have made 1000x more sense to bring Duncan back in at around the 3 or 4 minute mark and play him next to Tiago.. but Pop just refuses to play his two best bigs together so im not going to try and justify that.

this is getting out of hand now....
we need to fully revolt against bonner on this team.

I feel like Pop should have sat Tim last night and played him tonight since tonight, just my opinion.

I can just see Bonner bounding out on to the court during player intros with a huge smile on his face -- his arms chopping but not in time to his feet or to the rest of him.

It's damn near impossible to watch a Spurs game where worthless fuckstick Bonner gets extended minutes.

angelbelow
01-21-2012, 07:11 PM
If Bonner plays the first 3 minutes and is benched until the 3rd where he plays another 3 minutes then "go spurs go."

If Bonner's going to play 30+ minutes tonight we might as well rest Splitter, Parker, Leonard, Green, and just roll with Joseph, Neal, Anderson, Blair and Bonner. And just use Thomas as a back up for all positions.

timvp
01-21-2012, 07:13 PM
-Pop limits Splitter because he doesn't like him to play together with Duncan.

-Pop usually plays Bonner next to Duncan or Splitter.

-Duncan sits out.

-Pop starts Bonner with Blair.

timtonymanu
01-21-2012, 07:18 PM
lol

Starting Bonner and Blair against Scola is asking for a loss. Don't think I'll bother tuning in tbh and like others have said, why did Pop save Duncan last night and throw away the game if he's tanking the game tonight?

GB20
01-21-2012, 07:20 PM
i can guarantee you that tiago will not resign with the spurs next year.

Why do people usually finally realize Pop turned into a complete moron and is hurting this team, but then just because a new season starts they forget and give him a new pass? Every frickin time?!! This is the same crap that's BEEN going on year in and year out!

What Pop needs to do is sit his own ass out and bench himself.

Agree with the first statement 100%. Why the f did Duncan only play that last pos of the game ice cold if he was going to "rest" tonight? Stupid move last night and making worse with the move tonight.

Sitting parker would make sense bc hes playing heavier minutes but its just not an option with CJ as the only other option at PG. Neal has been atrocious in that spot and really it seems CJ plays worse with more mpg. At least at this point of the season....

First reaction to Bonner starting was WTF, but this could be Pop's way of making sure Blair/Bonner play the least amount of minutes together as possible. Doubt we see them play more than 15 minutes together tonight, as I'm sure we'll see the Spurs go small alot more than usual tonight. Tiago should hit the 30 minute mark.

I still heavily disagree with it though. Either Kawhi or Tiago should be starting at the 4/5 with Blair tonight. I'd love to see what Kawhi could do against Scola.

Tiago should hit the 30 minute mark.

I see Splitter getting 30 minutes with 25 points and 10 boards.

A breakout game, despite the starting lineup snub. :toast

And just to be clear, I dont care what Pop's reasoning for starting Bonner tonight is. No professional basketball player that has a deal with New Balance should ever get the opp to start an NBA game. Go run some track bitch.

And if he doesnt even have an endorsement with them and buys him on his own..... OMFG. Just dont let it be so.

Thats the bottom fucking line.

We seriously need to go to a game about 13-14 deep, drink a shitload of beer and start some anti Bonner chants near the Spurs bench, and take a series of posterboards with one huge letter a piece that spells out some anti Bonner/Pop, Pro Tiago shit.
