I do think the Giants will win, that entire team has Brady Daddy status. But let's be real for a second. If Eli wins, he'll have two Super Bowl wins on teams that were actually built to compete. Peyton will have one Super Bowl and the 115 wins in a decade record which we now know he did all by himself. Only the New York media will believe that to be true.
Can't fucking wait.
Time to put the exclamation point on 2007's Superbowl win. Way too many people consider that win a fluke.

Funny, if the spread were 2 1/2, I wouldn't even think about touching the game.

True.
The line will undoubtedly move (imo) in the next 2 weeks. Giants are more complete, they're clicking on all cylinders, and have basically been playing playoff games since Week 16.
They just had 2 great tests in the best offense in the league followed by arguably the best defense--and won both on the road. Pats secondary is banged up and they let Joe Flacco and his band of stone-hand WR/TEs put up #'s on them.
Giants also get Nicks and Bradshaw, who the Pats didn't see in the first meeting this year. Love the G-Men here--they get to play the underdog card despite being the better team

yah, the Ravens should have beat NE as well.....all of that leads to what looks like a an easy bet. Vegas putting the Pats at -3 makes no sense to me.

The the niners were lucky that Terrel Thomas, Will Beatty, Jonathon Goff, Clint Sintim, Marvin Austin, Stacey Andrews, Bruce Johnson, Hixon, etc. were all injured. These are all starters or backups who would have gotten significant playing time. That's not even counting our Special Teams starters/ bad asses who are out.

Please, every team has injuries. The Giants don't have some extraordinary amount of them. Most of the guys you listed were reserves. None of those guys had injuries that led to a backup getting significant PT and committing two key unforced turnovers like Ginn's injury.
The point was that the Giants were bailed out by two turnovers they did nothing to cause. The Patriots were also bailed out by several Baltimore fuck ups they had nothing to do with. Neither team is some unstoppable force. Giants fans are grossly overrating how much of a favorite they are.

No, but it's very odd that the Patriots winning their first 2 playoff games since 2007 are games where Welker's touches and looks were greatly reduced.

Giants did a great job jamming Welker on the los and preventing him from running clean routes, but Welker had a huge role in that BenJarvus Green-Ellis touchdown run. Brady checked out of the initial play into a power in run when he saw the Ravens stack up into the box. Wes faked an inside crossing route which forced Ed Reed to hesitate, then allowed him to cut upfield to throw a block on the safety to put Green-Ellis in the end zone. He may not had a great night receiving wise, but he is a complete receiving. One of the league's best.

Its hard to pick against the Giants, with that passrush and Eli playing at a MVP level since Dec. Didn't see the reg. season game, and was wondering how the Giants handled the Pats 2TE O, for those who watched the game.

Goff is the starting mlb, sintim the starting slb, beatty is the starting LT, Terrel Thomas is the #1 cb. Bruce johnspn had beaten ross as the nickel back. ... Hixon is the punt and kick returner. Austin was the third DT... so yeah, those are major injuries.
The Giants absolutely caused the last fumble. Williams' hand caused the fumble... how is that even a question?

His attitude is why he was a 2nd round pick. Of course, having all of the others back will make this team even stronger along with another strong draft class.

The funny thing is he really didn't do anything that wrong. He didn't steal or hurt anyone. He worked hard and it showed during the combine. Trust me, I was more excited about him heading into the year than I was Prince. I don't know if you were paying attention but Goff was turning into a beast before the injury. If he stays healthy he can be really really good as well. I've given up on Sintim ever being healthy :(
My point earlier to DOK is that every team has good and bad luck. The Giants lost way too many starters to IR so I'm not buying they are getting lucky bullshit. They have had more penalties against them than any other team in the playoffs. (Really surprised they never called offsides on the 49ers D. They were constantly lined up on the Giants' side of the ball) They have had some of the most ridiculous calls go against them in the Playoffs and they are still in the SB. Any bitching about luck is just bitching because your team isn't in the SB.

The Giants are going to do a lot of chipping on the TEs. You will likely see a lack of a pass rush in the first half while the DEs get a good hit on the TE and play the passing lanes. They usually release the Kraken in the second half once the O is out of sync.

Dunno, usually you can walk/play on a sprained ankle right after it happens. It isn't until after it stiffens up that you know the full extent of how bad the injury is.

The way the Giants' secondary is playing the Pats RBs better not suck. Logan Mankins better not get jizzed on by Justin Tuck again either.
Idk what his exact injury is but Kyle Arrington needs to be healthy for this game as well. If McCourty, Arrington or Molden get injured at all during the game it means Julian Edelman is covering Nicks, Cruz, or Manningham. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

I think all the media hype surrounding it, the week of festivities, and all the talk about commericals, and the fact that the damn thing takes 4-5 hours to actually finish overshadows the game itself a lot of the time. Then again the boys haven't sniffed it in 15 years so I am probably influenced a great bit by that fact.

Alex Smith = 97.6 Passer Rating, 7.5 Y/C
Eli Manning = 82.3 Passer Rating, 5.4 Y/C
That's with 2 gifts. Eli probably doesn't break a 65.0 Passer Rating without Kyle
Thanks for the arbitrary stats:lol I gave you ones that matter, but if you wanna go that route:
Eli: 316 yards, 55% passing, 2 tds, 0 ints, 17 passing 1st downs
Alex: 196 yards, 46% passing(:lol), 2 tds, 0 ints, 5 passing 1st downs

And what about the Bradshaw fumble which would have ended the game at the 20 with only 2 minutes remaining?

Niners played the kind of the game that won them 14 games this year. If not for Kyle Williams and his 3 fumbles, Niners win by double digits. History already proved they were the superior team weeks earlier.
Giants better win Sunday because they aren't sniffing the Super Bowl once the Niners get rid of their 3-fumble backup Punt Returner. Yup that's what it took the Giants to win in overtime

If Giants returner fumbled 3 times the Niners would have won the game by 30 points. We already beat their heads in a month earlier....we were on pace to punk them again when Kyle Williams started throwing the game with his 3 fumbles

Just very hard to see your team out play someone AGAIN and be well on there way to a Championship just to see a 3rd string brain dead idiot single handily do anything/everything possible to blow the game.
What disgusts me most is the media. If Kyle Williams pulled his hamstring before the game, the Niners win by 10+ points. So to see the media slurping all over the Giants (who got punked twice) is too difficult to take.

I don't think it was wonderful, and I'm not really a fan of Madonna, but that was the best half time show I've seen in yearssssssss.
Madonna may not be current. Alot of you youngsters may not have grown up with her music, but here songs are eternal. You know the tune and the lyrics whether or not you actually like the songs.
She's old as hell and could barely move out there, but for her age she did pretty good.
I absolutely hated the Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen shows. Zero entertainment value, and the songs themselves sucked. The Who, Black eyed peas, Rolling Stones, Paul Mcartney.... they were all garbage.
Prince was probably the last decent show. And even that was just so-so.
The really need to just scrap the half time performances all together but tongihts show was at least enjoyable.
