View Full Version : The Blood Issue

Over the summer while I was on an involuntary vacation, I wasn't checking my email very often. And thanks to someone in here, that oversight was almost disastrous for the SpursTalk community.

Counsel tells me not to give specifics of the incident, however let's just say an entity demanded SpursTalk IP logs. I can't say much more than that (in fact, I'm going to delete this thread in a few days in case I've said too much already). To make matters even more annoying, the entity came back a second time recently.

Typically, I don't care about the trolling on SpursTalk. Honestly, SpursTalk was founded by people who were banned elsewhere and needed a place to be free. And while that freedom doesn't always create a loving atmosphere, SpursTalk has become somewhat self regulating. Posters who don't bring the goods will either change or leave.

But apparently, someone has gone too far and that has brought upon unwanted attention. Kori and I already throw away enough money as it is on the hosting and maintenance, we can't add legal fees on top of that. For this reason, we are going to have to enact a few changes.

The good news is that these changes will be relatively minor. The better news is that we plan to only keep the restrictions in place until this incident blows over.

This thread is Part 1 of a four part document.

Part 2: The Amnesty Provision (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190184)

Part 3: The NBA Forum Executive Committee (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190188)

Part 4: The New Collective Bargaining Agreement

If self regulation isn't quite working, banhammer regulation will have to do...

Sorry you guys had to put up with that stuff after having your hands full.

LJ, I know you can't say much, but could you at least confirm this "entity" is not the Church of Parker? I need to know if my life's at stake here.
