And it was ugly.

He got up and they helped him off the floor, and he wasn't down for a long time. The replay showed it bent the wrong way when he planted it. When Jason Sehorn tore up his knee, he ran off the field. Something to keep an eye on for those of you that want to make a run at him next year.

Dude is made of plastic or something.

Seriously though, looks like a wet spot on the floor fucked him up.

Judging by the leg and the angle he popped open his LCL if you ask me.

That's kinda rare isnt it? Maybe its not that big an injury, but the angle of his knee moving looks like the LCL

Looks like a hyperextension. Bynum did the same thing last year and he was back in a few games. It didn't look like it was too serious. He should wear a brace as a preventative measure but this isn't a Da'Sean Butler scenario at all.

I mean, if you are old enough, you might recall when the Spurs had a guy whose knee looked like this regularly when he first arrived:

I'm hoping that you're right. I'm a little biased because I saw it in real time and it looked bad. That first slow motion angle you can see how far it bends. It certainly doesn't look like the aforementioned Sehorn injury, which I knew was catastrophic the second it happened.

Apples and oranges. Sean had a catastrophic knee injury in high school. The lingering questions about that injury are the reason he fell to the third pick.

Watching again it's a sprained LCL IMO (on this forum you have to say imo, tbh, fwiw, tbhhh)

But it's not tragic. He will be fine.

Let's hope for him it isn't a big injury and that he will be able to get a big contract next summer.

Selfishly, I hope he will be ready for the Olympics this summer.

Nothing serious:

http://www.blazersedge.com/2012/1/30/2760416/blazers-f-nicolas-batum-leaves-jazz-game-with-apparent-left-knee

Update (Tuesday): The Portland Trail Blazers announced on Tuesday that Batum's MRI revealed a left bone contusion. Batum is listed as out for Wednesday's home game against the Charlotte Bobcats and he will be re-evaluated later this week. He's currently listed as day-to-day.

Tbh, Batum just tripped, hit his knee on the court and then did the Trail Blazers Shuffle.

No, his knee buckled. The announcers said he hit his knee on the court until they looked at the replay.

Glad it's nothing serious though, regardless of whether or not the Spurs have designs on him.

:lol TB Shuffle

Don't worry guys, just read the MRI personally and he definitely blew out his labia minora.

Should be back by next week but I doubt the Spurs will target him now.

Good to hear it's not serious, I saw the video and when a guy goes down all on his own without being touched it's usually a bad sign.
