That would of been dunk of the year and unable to be beat if he had of actually dunked it.

Dunking over 7 footers is hard enough for any NBA player, but dunking like THAT over a good defensive 7 footer... Unreal!

Fpoonsie
01-31-2012, 01:46 AM
Lulz. I love that he doesn't even hide the fact that he's jerking it to his highlight on the board overhead directly after.

Naaaaaaasty.

Tbh, that's one of the best dunks I've ever seen. That it was on Kendrick Perkins made it even better.

I'm proud of my fellow bootleg, tbh.

Barely attempted? He came all the way across the paint and made a play at the ball, colliding chest to chest with him in midair. Ever played basketball before and had someone bump you on the way up? Takes your elevation right away. Fucking impressive that he dunked it straight through him.

The best dunk ive seen was a sg putting his nuts on a 7 footer who now is the best center in the league.

First, Magic was a point guard and second, Isiah didn't play center and hasn't been in the league for a long time now.

So, is anybody going to mention how he was showboating after the play?:lol..

:lol mad about Lebron staring at a guard trying to undercut him, but nobody mentioning Griffin watching his own replays on the screen:lol..

Griffin is as arrogant as any player in the NBA, worse than Lebron, Kobe or KG, tbh..

mavs>spurs
01-31-2012, 02:28 AM
:lol arrogant about WHAT exactly is what I wanna know. phenomenal athlete, as unpolished of a start as there is in the nba though. dude can't really shoot or create his own shot, just plays monkey ball. dwight howard pf version tbh.

HarlemHeat37
01-31-2012, 02:29 AM
:lol Blake Griffin backs down against every player of his size, in regards to altercations, but he has no problems confronting PGs like Andre Miller..

Yet, when KG does it, the basketball community suffers a meltdown..

dude can't really shoot or create his own shot, just plays monkey ball. dwight howard pf version tbh.

Regardless of how he scores, he does it efficiently. I don't understand why you feel he should shoot a jumper.... because dirk does it?

mavs>spurs
01-31-2012, 03:17 AM
because he can't dunk over everyone every time. a guy who picks and chooses his spots and gets a lot of clean up and garbage points shouldn't be considered on the same level of a player like a tim duncan or a shaq who takes over games and can create his own shot anytime he wants. it's not that he should shoot a jumper instead of dunking it, it's just that you can't go to blake to create offense in crunchtime the same way you can a true superstar like a duncan or even a perimeter player like a kobe. blake doesn't control the game, he waits for his opportunities that's it.

Good point. Will be interesting to see, as he gets older, if he can develop a post game, once he starts losing his hops.

over a good defensive 7 footer...

Once again another who is a believer of the myth that Kendrick Perkins is somehow Jesus reincarnated as a post defender.

tbh Blake's dunk is impressive but it still was over a fat lard with 0 athleticism who somehow got rich by punking the softest bigman in the game and "intimidating" anyone in his presence with The Scowl.

m>s
01-31-2012, 09:28 AM
perkins is in fact a good defender tbh, if not elite. selling him for shit was a big mistake that boston made which cost their chances of winning another NBA championship or two, or maybe even more. plus n!gga also provides some offensive power @ the low post which helps make alot of space for wide-open shots from outside imho

DPG21920
01-31-2012, 09:33 AM
lol M>S acting like Blake is Dwight Howard. Blake has definitely shown the ability to have an expanded game; much more than Howard. Every game Blake is showing a 15-18 foot jump shot. Every game. He does try to rip the rim off often, but he's not Howard.

yes, it isn't technically a dunk. it's throwing the ball down in the hoop from a couple goddamn foot above it so i guess that particular move needs a name.

It's because he's not from Southern California and has never been to SoCal in any other capacity than a shit-eating tourist, so we can't expect him to appreciate the greatness that is Ralph Lawler.

Did you guys see the interview with Lawler, Lakers/ Clippers game two? They tried to bait Lawler into admitting that the Clippers are the new LA favorite…The guy was so embarrassed & said something about “when the Clippers have 17 banners hanging in Staples Center we can make that comparison but not until then”…”I am just happy that there is room for both teams in this town”…Lawler is all class… :tu

Every franchise has got to start somewhere. The Los Angeles Lakers were in the shit for half of the 50s and the entire 60s until they finally set the boulder on top of the hill and for once didn't have it roll back down.

Can't imagine LakerFan is a big fan of either, esp. in comparison with Chick.

I never got to listen to Hearn on a regular NBA Package basis. The first season Katie finally let me order it he died.:rolleyes

Lantz is fine.

My biggest peeve with any these guys is when they'll start talking and right away you know they've not even made up their mind what it is they're going to talk about. They just start out.

If Dwight Howard can win a dunk contest with a non-dunk, this can be a candidate for dunk of the year. Griffin's hops are SICK!!! And the fact that it was over Perkins made me like it even more.
