At least he won't be available to drop 30 on us.

What horrible luck that is, thought Hill did quite well in SA considering all of us were wondering who the hell he was when drafted.

Feel bad for Hill. I hated to see him go even though I think we got the better end of the deal. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

They called Manu's injury a stress fracture, which is from repeated abuse and not a single incident. I think Hills is more of a common break, which (hopefully) will heal quicker and more fully. It was in his left ankle, not the right ankle he had trouble with when he was here - so hopefully it doesn't indicate any chronic problem.

That's why an average player should get their extensions as soon as possible.

Oh, crap. I just found out what a "chip fracture" is. I've always heard it called an "avulsion fracture", and it's not good. It's where the tendon actually rips away from the bone, by breaking off the piece of bone it's attached to. Sometimes it heals on its own, but that probably can't happen quickly enough for him to stress it again this season. I'm no doctor, but I've known two people who did this to themselves, and it wasn't fun. Waiting for it to heal, and then being able to trust it afterward. Personally, the thought of ripping a tendon off the bone is nasty. The thought of doing it a second time just gives me the creeps.

And, yes, GB20 - even though they never said it, that is the surgery that Manu had.

Maybe spurs can bring him back cheap since they dropping Anderson.

Not happening. Spurs are stacked on the wings, so if they do anything there, it'll be bringing in De Colo.

Apparently, it wasn't a "full chip" and George is targeting "before the ASG" as his return time.

I'd rather keep Ford than sign De Colo.

And i'd take Hill back in a heartbeat.

One teams loss could be our gain?....Hopefully that will scare the Pacers from giving him another Contract....Letting us get our foot in the door to take him back off their hands.....It is a Win Win situation for us...We got the player we wanted in the Draft, having to give up a player we loved in a SPURS uniform....Just to get him back a year later!!!...Now that would be awesome!!!!.....Let's get our Boy back SPURS!!!....

They traded him because he had a payday coming up, and they didn't want to be the ones paying him. That hasn't changed.

This.

Hill was one of my favorite players but no way is he worth what he thinks he is (7m+ per). Even some of the best 6th men in the league don't make that much (James Harden 4.6m, Jamal Crawford 5m).

It is even arguable whether he is worth MLE money unless he starts shoring up his weaknesses (his consistency and also his point guard skills). Seems like he is content to be a guy who specializes in defense and 3pt shooting. Which is a shame because he has the talent to be better and showed the potential in SA on many occassions.

Speaking of Hill's potential Hill really needs a coach that is willing to teach him the nuances of point guard play. Boston would be a good fit for him, with Doc Rivers for example.

In hindsight, I'll have to admit Pop made the right call in getting something for nice (Leonard) before Hill became a FA and bolted town.

HILL at the right price yeh sure, why not

anything more then MLE for a bench player is overpayin

but i think with the money cleared for next season will either be going to guys resigning...i think TJ FORD at right price is nice, as for blair....ummm we see who we draft and what we can sign via FA, then resiginin him
