Did you guys see this graphic in your Facebook feed? We've noticed more and more people have been passing it around. That's not just based upon my highly scientific "random-friends-from-high-school-have-been-posting-it-on-their-wall" calculation. We've legitimately been getting lots of questions about it.
Tonight, Lawrence will explain its origin and what it means to be a liberal.
~~I watch his show and I'll be tuning in.

Republicans opposed the Civil Rights act? Don't think so.
More Dems voted against it than Republicans.
Revisionist history. Probably why Mr. O'Donnell's show gets killed in the ratings (as do most other shows on that network).

Most of the Democrats that voted against it are now Republicans. LBJ even supposedly said he was signing away the South for a generation. I don't see many Democrats today speaking out against the Civil Rights Act, but I have seen several Republicans do so.

"More Dems voted against it than Republicans."
Then those racist southern Dems switched to Repug party in Nixon's Southern Strategy.

But seriously, Ron and Rand Paul have openly criticized the Civil Rights Act. This is not exactly news at this point.
