Can't blame him, tbh. Lost a WS in heartbreaking fashion and he indirectly killed a father.
I'd hit the sauce pretty hard too.

I always figured once the season ended and the father's death had time to settle in that he'd attempt to drink away the memories. I think he's got a good support system in place, and I expect him to pull out of this. Maybe not. That would suck. But He definitely had a rough year by any standards and I am sure someone who didn't need an excuse to drink anyways just couldn't withstand any longer with the weight of the grief catching up to him and no seasonal activity to keep his mind active and the thoughts at bay.

Yeah, the guy has a problem but this is just one incident. Addiction is a bitch and I'm sure something pretty bad had built up for him to do this in public. I wish him well. I'm just wondering who all was with him and how many drinks he had.

Pretty cool of Kinsler to go down there to help him out though.

poor rich kid :cry
Relapse is a part of recovery. As long as he's trending upwards and has a system around him, he'll be fine.

Says the dipshit raising a kid in a house full of unsold Hanzo swords.
they lost a great batter w/ hamilton down but it ain't havin much impact on their defense imho. rangers have a stack of fielders so losing one of them ain't hurtin them alot, the 1st base on the other hand has been their weakest link which needs to be fixed before all.

Break for Rangers. They can now negotiate with him knowing he will accept less
Without a doubt, Hamilton is overrated at this point

They should just give him kegs of near-beer and he won't know the difference
It works for you, but, then again, your not an adult, so...
Hamilton has proven time and again he cannot be depended upon.
I doubt Rangers sign him long term. No organization is going to put up with this kind of fuckery every off season.
I give props to Texas though. They have shown great support to Hamilton but when you keep breaking down, how long till they just say, go be a free agent and take your baggage somewhere else?
