this is the reason I said that they'd win the west.
I don't know why, but LeBron in the Finals seems to lack determination or will.
In 2007 it was "excusable" because it was his first time and he carried a shitty cavs team there when nobody expected them to be in the Finals.
But no excuses for last year, he chucked big time. The Heat should have won against a Mavs that were not as good as they seemed

The 11 Heat overachieved, they had 3 top players, a solid sixth man, but that was it. They were bad at PG and C positions. The Mavs didn't have as much top players, but that was a very solid team. LeBron could have played better, though. The 07 Cavs overachieved, too. Kobe never played well in the finals, except in 09, and that was because the Magic didn't have good wing defensive players, which is very unusual for finals teams.

LeBron is much better than Kobe, in particular he's an better team player.

How is he a better team player when his teams never win squat? Also kobe only had 2 bad finals 2000,2004. He avg 26.8 pts 5.8 reb, 5.3 ast. 51.4 pct shooting in 2002. 24.6 pts, 7.8 reb, 5.8 ast. in 2001. 28.6 pts, 8 reb, 3.9 ast. in 2010. 32.4 pts, 7.4 ast, 5.6 reb in 2009. So he played well in 2001,2002,2009 and 2010 and O.K in 2008. Check your facts or stop making crap up..

Kobe has also always had superior teams and Kobe has had numerous terrible games throughout the playoffs and finals, especially in elimination games. Lebron has certainly choked away some finals games, but the playoffs aren't just the finals; he's had dominant playoff performances as well.

With LeBron, the Lakers would go 59-7, and win the title. No question.

Bryant has been surrounded with more talent than any player in the NBA during his career. Yet it's obvious that he has always been a me-first guy. In his mind, he is Option 1, Option 2, and Option 3. The other guys on the court are merely bailout options.

LeBron fully realizes that basketball is a team sport.

The way Bryant plays, he might as well be playing tennis.

Some of y'all no dick about basketball. You geniuses want to take the best driver in the game and u want to put 2 7 footers (Bynum and his man) in the paint and 2 more at the high post (pau and his) and combine that with Artest and Fish and u think that team wins the west? That team would still be slow, though a better defensive one, b ut Lebron would. Be on the perimeter feeding poor shooters and he would not have Wade to close games out. I know the shit sounds good in theory bit on practice that is a bad fit. I told u guys when James was with the CAVS crowding the paint with a 7 footer is dumb. When your team features Lebron Pau makes sense because he can stretch his man ...but even with James this Laker team would be conference finals at best. Add lebron and clips, okc are still better and Dallas would zone the shit out of that team

The current version of Kobe is an inferior shooter to Lebron, which was previously one of his only advantages in the comparison..

Kobe is a better post player, but he has barely used his post game, this season..historically, he has been the superior clutch player, but he has been horrible in clutch time, this season, IIRC..

Lebron is the slightly superior jump shooter..much better and more willing passer..much better individual and team defender..much better rim attacker and finisher..he has every advantage, at this point..

The Lakers with Lebron would be on the same level as OKC, easily..also, if Lebron doesn't wanna shoot in the Finals, it wouldn't matter, Derek Fisher takes those big shots, anyways..

NO pretty sure Lebron would take advantage of having 2 allstar bigs unlike a certain player. Lebron wouldnt play Jordan like Kobes been trying too do. He would play Magic and average 12+ assist a game. Lebron would get his points when Gasol & Bynum are on the bench & off of fastbreak points. pau did it in 2010.

Pau anchored, just like Duncan anchored in 2005 when Manu lead the team.

wat? pau can't lead? he's the one who dragged kobe's 6-24 dead corpse across the finish line in game 7 vs the celtics.

Exactly. Lebron is a badass but do people really think he can make up 4 no PG, no SG. No bench and the worst 3pt shooting in the league? If so he ie not only better than Kobe ...MJ better watch out ...

If Gasol could carry 6-24 to the title, he'd be able to do the same for James.

0-13 in the playoffs Gasol? :lol

lakers would be a better team in the regular season with Bron in Kobe's place, but teams w/ bron as da #1 guy ain't never winnin no NBA fucking championship tbh. we just hope our n!gga wade stays healthy & on form when it really matters
