The previews looked pretty good and thought this movie might be ok until I saw Rihanna is in the movie. Oh Lord! Why do they have to mess things up? If this movie is about another alien invasion, why do they need to have eye candy? She's probably going to end up being the heroin in the movie! She'll probably blow up the main alien ship or something! :bang

Yes, some people seem to be quite addicted to her.

5 seconds into that commercial I said, "Another fucking Transformers movie already?" Followed immediately by:

From Hasbro the company that created
TRANSFORMERS

I'm sure it will sell plenty of tickets and popcorn.

I thought it was a transformers movie also tbh. Thinking starscream would kidnap rhianna to use her forehead as a landing strip.

This movie might be cool... if we still had BATTLESHIPS! There are currently no battleships serving in any naval fleet, worldwide.

Funny how Liam Neeson has become a big blockbuster action movie actor in the last few years. Batman Begins, Titans, A-Team, Taken, a few others whose name escape me. Reminds me a bit of 90s era Harrison Ford stuff. Just seems like every time I see him in a preview anymore he's angry and whooping ass.

Jesus Christ this movie looked bad.

So a technologically superior alien race attacks the earth and it's up to Americans to find the strength, determination, and perseverance to win the war.

My god, it's brilliant.

I wonder how the brainstorming session went in coming up with the whole "concept" to this movie.

But he's not really a great actor is he? I'm amazed that he's getting these roles...the Harrison Ford analogy is pretty good. But who can blame him for cashing out. His resume probably says only, " Schindler's List mother fucker."

It actually wasn't that bad at all. It's basically the best most expensive ScFy channel b movie you will see.

The CGI or whatever it is called these days was pretty awesome and you get to watch Navy Destroyers fuk up Alien Ships like its WW7.

It's got stupid dialogue, stupid acting, stupid story, but its entertaining!!!

Liam is a solid actor with mostly good movies. This movie looks like Transformers obviously and I agree it looks terrible.

I can't see how this movie will be anything but a flop. Flying giant balls? A retired class of warship with Josh Hartnett and Rhiana to save the day?

God damn, this movie just looks horrendous. Liam is the only thing going for this movie and its not nearly enough.

BlairForceDejuan

Those flying giant alien balls tore shit up!

They basically came up with the goofiest story imaginable to set the stage for 1 1/2 minutes of old school battleship gameboard action on the big screen. And it was awesome.

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

I'm not seeing this movie, but when I first saw the trailer I was interested for about 20 seconds.

Liam instantly makes any movie intriguing plus Eric from twilight making his movie debut.

But, then I see Rihanna and I realize what this movie was and I wasn't buying into it.

Rihanna was the tiebreaker for me on whether or not i'd pay to see it in theaters. She had no business in this movie

The movie was entertaining. No one (I think) expected this to receive an academy award for script or acting, but it delivers on what it promised, tons of action. I was thoroughly entertained. I thought the aliens were impressive. I lol'd that they actually worked the board game into the movie when they are calling out coordinates and firing blind shots at the 'invisible' alien ship.

Oh, Gee!!

:lmao watched this today. Its so over the top it actually isn't nearly as bad as I thought but its still not good.

The best part of this shit, was how utterly stupid the producers of this film are. Its a huge rah rah film for the military right? All about how awesome the Navy kicked ass etc etc etc. So what song do they choose to go to the credits?

Fortunate Son.

Have they never listened to the lyrics? WTF?
