I'm not sure if anybody noticed, but Timmy is now ranked 20th overall in All-Time rebounds. He now has 12,218 rebounds surpassing Charles Oakley's career total.

Good, but wanted him to be at least on the top 10. Do you have the list of the whole top 20 All-Time?

1. Wilt Chamberlain* 23924
2. Bill Russell* 21620
3. Moses Malone* 17834
4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar* 17440
5. Artis Gilmore* 16330
6. Elvin Hayes* 16279
7. Karl Malone* 14968
8. Robert Parish* 14715
9. Nate Thurmond* 14464
10. Walt Bellamy* 14241
11. Wes Unseld* 13769
12. Hakeem Olajuwon* 13748
13. Shaquille O'Neal 13099
14. Buck Williams 13017
15. Kevin Garnett 12987
16. Jerry Lucas* 12942
17. Bob Pettit* 12849
18. Charles Barkley* 12546
19. Dikembe Mutombo 12359
20. Paul Silas 12357
21. Charles Oakley 12205
22. Tim Duncan 12201

(that was before yesterday's games)

Duncan is grabbing 8rpg at the moment, with the rest of 2012 + another season he should get at least 800 more rebounds. I'd say 1k max for the rest of his career (unless he plays 19 seasons of course :) )

That would put him around 13th or 14th position on the list at the end of his career. Top 10 is pretty much unreachable by today standards anyway, and the top 5 is probably locked forever.

For example Howard is currently averaging 12.9 on his career, if he played as long as Timmy and managed to maintain this average (both being quite unlikely) he would have ~14k rebounds, a bit shy of top 10.

This link shows the Top 10, but also a number of other good rebounding numbers (most per season, per game).

Imagine if Timmy played in a city where the scorekeeper doesn't hate him.

Congratulations Tim! He should get close to catching Barkley by the end of the season or even pass him.

Regular season.

Tim is 5th all-time in the playoffs:

Tim is also #8 all-time in playoff points.

The thing is, the Spurs have gone deep into the playoffs with such regularity that a guy like Parker is #25 all-time in assists, #26 in field goals and #29 in points... (for comparison a guy like Barkley is #25 in points)

His season average was around 800 per year, but the last two years have gone down because of the limited minutes. He'll probably do good to get 600 this year.

That'll put him ahead of Sir Charles and in range next year of landing somewhere between Jerry Lucas and Hakeen Olajuwon. That's pretty top notch company, especially if he could pass Hakeen and Unseld before he retires.

What hurts the most is the fact that Garnett will always be ahead of Timmy in all of these points, rebound, and assists categories because he has an extra two seasons on timmy.

I have a feeling Duncan will retire after Garnett, though.

Duncan's been quite a bit better than Garnett the last few years. And with Garnett's injuries, his lack of PT early on and Duncan's advantage in playoff appearances and the difference is less than a season.

Because shooting percentages used to be significantly lower and there weren't nearly as many giants as there is now, when I look at this list, I basically view K. Malone as the leader in the modern era (from '80 on). So once Duncan inevitably passes (barring injury, of course) Mutombo this season, he'll be 7th. And out of the 6 in front of him, he's the best rebounder. None have corralled as high a percentage of rebounds as him and none held up longer as either elite or near elite rebounders. Overall, though, he'll probably finish 13th or 14th.
