Tbh, what I want to see happen is for Chuck and Shaq to draft Cousins last and then have Cousins meltdown and refuse to play.

Haha that would be fun.

I wonder what the order will be: Griffin then Rubio then... ?

Congrats to Tiago and Kawhi.

That trade looks better all the time.

Seeing Splitter in that group confirms how inexplicable it was for him to be sitting on the bench last season and in the playoffs.

Good for Kawhi. I like everything about him so far.

Just thought I'd list the draft rank of the selected players, provided that if teams were drafting perfectly, all the players would have drafted in the top 9.

Rising Stars Challenge rookies:
Irving (1)
D. Williams (2)
T. Thompson (4)
Knight (8)
Walker (9)
Morris (13)
Leonard (15)
Brooks (25)
Rubio (2009/5)

Rising Stars Challenge Sophs:
Wall (1)
E. Turner (2)
Cousins (5)
Monroe (7)
Hayward (9)
George (10)
Fields (2/9)
Griffin (2009/1)
Splitter (2007/28)

The sophomore draft looks more consistent with 6 players from the top 10. Fields is obviously the steal of that draft at this point, and the squad is rounded up by 2 big men, one a former #1 pick, and another one being the steal we all hoped he might be at #28.

The rookie draft has a few more surprises, with Morris, Leonard and Brooks (who is injured, by the way) performing above expectations, and Rubio showing that Minnesota was right in being stubborn about bringing him to the NBA (Scola anyone? :lol)

:lol now that would be classic

I bet he'll go relatively early though. definitely a good player and Chuck and Shaq are sadly not the sort of disciplinarians who would afford us this hilarious opportunity

Sadly, I bet Tiago goes near to the end. He just doesnt get any respect from anyone, other players, refs, anyone. Wouldnt be surprised to see him slip. He doesnt strike me as the type to tear it up in a all star showcase sort of game either. On the other hand as the only guy out there doing dirty work he could excel. Should be fun to watch.

Irving deserves to be included in your post of the top class of players in this game.

After that I wouldnt be surprised to see Cousins, Wall, and Monroe be the next three, though that does add up to three PGs and three bigs. Defnitely should be fun to watch Shaq and Chuck build their squads.

I thought Splitter got a lot of respect from Barkley, and he's one of the guys doing this draft, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him go as Barkley's #1 big man before Monroe.

I'd like to see him in the three point shootout or maybe H-O-R-S-E.

Don't know where he is percentage wise with the rest of the league, but I'd like to see him in the three point contest as well.

I think Bonner would actually have a better shot at winning. Neal's shot involves quite a bit of motion. Seems like the set shooters do better.
Seriously, I wonder why Bonner is never invited.

The same reason all the other Spurs who led the league in three point shooting were never invited.

Congrats to both. Too bad Neal didn't make it too.

Will be interesting to see who Charles and Shaq choose.

How could Griffin be on both All Star and this game ?

Especially since it's his third year. They wanted an excuse to give him rookie of the year, we get it, but putting him in that game is just stupid.

Actually, it's not a "year" unless you play a game. The NBA sees no service difference between his lost season and a Euro who stays overseas for a year.
