Yes they are. Outside of OKC, the Spurs have been the most consistent team in the West.

You started to worry me over the weekend. I can't see anybody in the WC that is your equal. And that's without Manu. Even in the East it's dicey. Miami can't be trusted.

You have the continuity of quality.

I don't do jinxes. They're for pussies & assholes.

I severely dressed down Midst the other night on my Page on this very subject. And from now on I will take anybody to task that tries that stunt on this Forum.

& that's just the way it's gonna be.

Amused, when are you going to start the blog talk upstairs?

As soon as I find a way to get a show that can last upto an hour.

The free service on blogtalk radio only lets you do 30 minutes.

I might still go for the 30 minutes as a test

I didn't do bolded before I got 'em. And I don't do bolded now that I have 'em.

She did this to me as a cruel joke, a virtual spanking if you will. Obviously that is how that beatiful American child gets her jollies.

I will take this opportunity to reclaim my Trademark. I asked her the other nite for her blessing and she remained mute. She's never failed to tell me "no" whenever I've asked her any & all query before. Ipso facto, I must take her silence as tacit approval.

Thanks, doll.

So, what y'all think about Euroleague MVP Tiago Splitter now?

cheguevara
02-09-2012, 02:09 PM
I did not see the Spurs being more than few games above 500. I did not see Kawai and Splitter playing like beasts, they could easily start in most teams. And Bonner + Green could be solid backups in most teams too.

The most striking thing is that this team(aside from the Miami game) does not get wipped into a pulp every other game like in years past. That will affect point differential and that is a big sign for playoff play.

El Che will have to reasess the situation with Manu's return. Now may Lord Stalin watch on the health of our big 3.

Pish and posh Culby. She didn't do this to you. Us up there in the EC figured you deserved it, and we also had an inkling it might disgruntle you, so it was a win-win situation for all of us. :toast :lol

IMO, the biggest sign of improvement for the Spurs from last year is that they're winning despite having poor shooting nights from 3 point land...

& I can't fuckin' believe it. I no more get the Suns off my fucking back for good then here comes my other archest enemy.

I'm gonna need an injury. If that fails, I'm gonna need a manmade calamity, i.e., an officiating snafu.

I was just casting pearls before the swine with the Suns stuff last year, but, this is fear, a dread down deep in Dale's gut. I started thinking about it on the Lazy Boy over the weekend and I had to pull the handle and walk around to calm the rising panic.

It could all just be the Spurs peaking early... has happened before.

Although, Manu coming back should give them a second wind...

They've come thru a gauntlet of sorts and have now come out on the other side, boldened and solid. Left to their own devices I'm in trouble. I'll need help from without|||within has been sealed off with Splitter rising.

It's almost fucking laughable. 27 eligible fucking teams I don't really give two shits about and I no sooner get rid of 1 of the 2 remaining and now the only other one is there.

Talk about a jinx.

Fuck me.

I still have my reservations about the team being able to survive the season, as last year they ran themselves into the ground and would have been beaten in the west playoffs by any team other than New Orleans. How you start a season means shit in the NBA. I do see some positives that weren't there last season though. For instance, the Spurs aren't depending on Richard Jefferson not being a worthless piece of shit for their wins this season, unlike last year's hot start. Secondly, Splitter is really showing some consistency and giving the Spurs a decent low post and pick and roll option when Duncan is on the bench.

Spurs do look good. They are deep outside of the frontcourt. They have an "ace" in their back pocket in Manu and the so called TOSB, is showing flashes of his greatness. check my posts upstairs I have conistenently said Spurs/duncan have ONE more WCF run in them ...maybe this is that year.

But I also thought this last year and was horribly wrong ...

They're the most staid team in the NBA. The only NBA Champion with complete lineage.

It most likely won't even take a monumental campaign to achieve. Just be themselves. Their innate traction will be impossible to match & overcome.

I am not sold on the Spurs and won't be until the 1st round of the playoffs is over. We know Dick Jeff and Bonner will become vaginas. What about the young guys? And what about Parker? he's been a vagina in recent playoffs. And health is always the jihadist in the closet.

there's nothing more to discuss until the playoffs tbh

Not really. IMO the Spurs should tank to 8th seed and face the OKC in the 1st round. Let the chips fall were they may
