hey guys, is it possible to launch a air craft carrier or cruise liner into space without trying to bring parts into orbit and building it up there...when we can just find a way to launch it from earth...

either launch it on rockets or launch it like a plane slowly elevation dunno how many laps of the earth it needs to get into space....but the air craft carrier doesnt use much energy when its equipped with a nuclear reactor feeding itself while its in space...

why the hell would you want to do that? :lol

and no, not with current technologies. Ever seen how much energy it takes to launch a little rocket with 5 or 6 people into space? multiply that by a 1000 and you still wouldn't be close.

Think thrust to weight ratio and then factor in the weight of an air craft carrier...

It's about $10,000 to put a pound of anything into a near-earth orbit

Nimitz class Aircraft carriers displace over 100,000 long tons (long ton=2240 lbs).

100,000*2,240=224,000,000
224,000,000*$10,000=$2,240,000,000,000

Therefore, assuming we could use existing structures and rockets (i.e. no more research, etc), just the launch itself would cost minimum 2.24 Trillion dollars.

to measure how the universe was created, you get to the center...which is basically the big bang....now i have a few questions relating to this big bang

1. does the big bang orbit anything or is it stationed and continues to spew out more stars etc?

2. do you think there was more then 1 big bang in certain parts of the universe? << very important to what i may ask next regarding the expansion of the universe and creation of new stars....
