let's rest TP...

Warlord23
02-11-2012, 09:46 PM
Why? He's having b2b stellar games.

He's learning on the job - not doing too badly overall, but still makes the occasional mistake. The second unit right now can be flat out dominant with Ford running the show.

Spurs Brazil

I'd let Manu come in and play 4 or 5 minutes this quarter. Just sit Duncan. Parker can play a few minutes.

SanAntonioSpurs23
02-11-2012, 09:46 PM
Agreed, but only in spurts. In my oipinion Pop is letting him in the game just abit too long.

14 minutes? This is the Nets, perfect game to get some of that rust off.

Paranoid Pop

We are amazingly deep.

That's good for the regular season, but come playoff time that won't matter that much if you can't have a dominant starting 5.

Barfunk
02-11-2012, 09:47 PM
Spurs are damn lucky those 3s are not falling or they'd be down by 50 by now.

They are up 18 right now, so maybe more like a much closer game.

jestersmash
02-11-2012, 09:47 PM
Agreed, but only in spurts. In my oipinion Pop is letting him in the game just abit too long.

He's played 13 minutes and taken only 4 shots so far (2-4), not to mention he has 4 assists to a single turnover.

You're pretty much wrong on all accounts.

Barfunk
02-11-2012, 09:48 PM

I can only name 6 current head coaches that are former spurs players: Avery, Doc Rivers, George Karl, Vinny Del Negro, Monty Williams, Tyron Corbin,

jestersmash
02-11-2012, 09:56 PM
That last play lends credence to the fact that Tiago-Bonner (as a two big man combination) yields one of the highest points scored per 100 possessions - points allowed per 100 possessions differential.

I think it is pathetic. Go -20, and then leave starters to play vs deep bench, only to make it -10, and call it a game.

Yeah, not being superstitious but Manu has enough minutes for the first night back. Nothing gained by over-doing it.

I wouldn't call Neal and Splitter scrubs. And no shit, why ride the starters in a game like this?

I know its the Nets, but this team is certainly on a roll and looks as though they going to be scary once Manu gets integrated back into the lineup. Its looking more and more like this team has a chance to make it once they hit the playoffs as long as there they are healthy. Yes, another big would be good, but considering how much better Tiago looks this year and how T.J. Ford was lookin before he got injured with the second unit, we certainly are one of the deepest teams in the league. Good win tonight!

There are always a gang of them when they play in Philly, and given the Nets don't sell many tickets to their own fans, easier to be heard.
