Major down period of NBA basketball

Sixers = worst Finals team I've ever seen & Kidd/Carter Back2Back Finals?

Fairly certain 2001 Duke would have beaten many teams in the league

Correction, Major down period of the Eastern Conference. The West had plenty of good basketball going on.

imho

2004-07 might've been the worst era of NBA basketball ever. It was the Spurs and pretty much nobody else. Lakers/Kings had just broken up, Malone/Stockton retired, superstars were isolated on shitty teams, and the younger guys who are the elites today just weren't there yet

The 3-peat Lakers come to mind. In addition to what you listed Utah was still good, Sonics and Trailblazers. Not to mention, that Kings team was pretty stacked. All of those were better than what the East was putting out.

Some people are mistaking things here.
Kidd and Carter were not the Nets team when they went to the finals.
Nash and Amare were middle of the 2000s. And those Kings were great.

And 2005-07 might have been dull for some people. But the Phx-Dalllas-SA rivalry was amazing. It seemed like each team had one they could beat but not the other.

'90s were worse, imo.

yeah, that 2011 Finals MVP is so washed up now....

And Nash, Pierce, Allen have also aged really well, especially Nash. KG would have been part of the group had it not been for his knee injury. Duncan still turns back the clock quite often.

The quality of players, teams & overall play declined in the 2000's

Vince Carter & Tracy McGrady :lol

That OP video is some biased shit. I didn't realize 2011 was "early 2000's"

Lakerfan is eternally asshurt that the small town Spurs team ruined their decade. They could have won 8 or more in that decade if not for the Spurs.

Must chap your asses so hard you guys have to go out and make the ":cry:cry:cry:cry good times" videos showing your demigod Kobe as if he ever won shit without daddy. I noticed he got 2 seconds.
