Looked at my trophy case for the first time in a while yesterday and realized I haven't even come close to collecting everything for anything I've played. Has anyone here ever actually gotten all these thing for any games you've got?

You mean for PS3? Not even close, lol. Mostly bronzes and silvers. Willing to bet I haven't gotten over 50% completion in any game.

For 360? Mass Effect 2 is the only game I have every gamerpoint for (1355/1355, includes DLC). Thing is, I'm usually a one-and-done gamer; rarely do I ever go back and complete shit.

The only games I've finished to absolute, complete, 100% completion with all trophies are in the Lego series. And I've got 100% completion on Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal (and I'm one skill point shy of 100% on the first R&C game, but fuck that fucking hoverboard), but those three are all last gen and pre-date the trophy thang.

Other than that, I've never even come close. I've got a few games where I'm at or near 100% completion in the single player campaign, but I'm still at or below 50% in the trophies because I don't like online multiplayer.

You are the first and only (so far) adult that I know that plays the lego series. I tried so hard to play the Indiana Jones lego game that came with the xbox and just could not get into it. I figured it's just a kid's thing.

Anyway, got a 100% on Red Dead Redmption, Dead Space, and MW. I tried Gears of War 3, but that is just way too time consuming. You also need to get achievements from the previous gears games in order to unlock an achievement on gears 3. Bullshit.

They pretty much are, as far as gameplay is concerned. Kind of ridiculously easy, especially if you unlock a few of the cheats that throw things completely off balance. But they're good if you want something mildly amusing that you can beat in a day, which is nice when you're a busy grad student with not much time to game but a fondness for completion and Easter eggs. Also, I have a tremendous amount of respect for the level of creativity in recreating Lego versions of the various characters and environments.

But, yeah, they're silly. One of those franchises that I think is quite a bit of fun (with the right expectations), but that I wouldn't try to talk any of my gamer friends into taking seriously.

Beat Mass Effect 2 on Insanity last night to finally achieve 100% on a game. Probably the shortest set of trophies of anything I own, but my gaming time is at a premium these days anyways. Bottom line, a winner is me!

I've 99% on Just Cause 2. Missing a few crates that are spread out throughout the world but fuck that. I've given up after putting 100+ hrs. Got 100% on all the villages though.

I also have 98% on Burnout Paradise. Got everything except the Showtime mode that I need to do street by street. This one I might get 100% one day if I'm ever really fucking bored.

It's a game with plenty of potential for the sadistic sort as well. I don't know of any other game where you can unlock an achievement by hanging a certain number if enemies, much less the opportunity to kill them by dragging them behind a fighter jet.

I can't remember what I named the horse I started the game with. I do remember learning pretty quick that it was an open world Rockstar game and that I didn't name any of them after that. IIRC I came galloping up on some situation where the bullets were flying, hopped off the horse, dealt with the banditos or whoever the fuck it was, and went back to find it had caught a stray bullet somewhere in all the mayhem. Cue the Vader, "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" On the whole I lost way, way more to those fucking cougars than a did anything else.

I recently started playing RDR again after all the talk about it, and the last time I played (at least a year ago) I brilliantly decided to save at a campfire near Tall Trees with zero ammo. I started up my game, got on my horse, started riding into town, and within 25 seconds a boar and a bear double-teamed my horse and killed it. So, without ammo, I just started running in the hopes they'd all just disappear when I got out of the trees. No luck. I kept running, all the way past the Manzanita Post to Beecher's Hope, being chased the whole fucking time. At one point I used the "look back" feature while I was running and there were three bears and two boars trailing me the whole way. The game glitched and they literally disappeared once I got to Beecher's Hope. It was both hilarious and far more stressful than it needed to be.

Those fucking bears are relentless. First time I got attacked by one I actually let out a Homer Simpson-esque shriek but managed to dodge the jerk and rode at a sprint out of there. Figured I had lost him, turned to explain to my wife why the hell I just made the noise I had made, heard a growl, and turned back to the screen just in time to see my horse hitting the ground. In an equally brilliant turn of events I had the damn lasso equipped at the time for some reason and in my spastic attempts to equip a gun and dead eye Gentle Ben in the fucking face I only succeeded in equipping my knife. For all the movie last stands that video games have let me relive I didn't expect the last scene from Legends of the Fall to be one of them.

One week ago i finished 100 percenting RDR and Undead Nightmare, i could be wrong but i think wild animals stop chasing you when you enter a town.

I tried to lure a bear to Manzanita to see if he could kill some NPC's but the bear stopped chasing me near the settlement.

4 month bump.

Specops: The Line. Pretty easy game for completionists, especially since it has no MP trophies. Compared to most games the overall difficulty is amped up but in terms of what they actually ask you to do for the trophies there's nothing too outlandish like "Kill 5 enemies using only headshots with a pistol without reloading or taking any hits". There's one set of collectables scattered throughout the game but it's so linear there's no place off the beaten path for them to hide and in Resident Evil fashion they are nice enough to shine and flash when you enter a room. There's a handful of binary choices that are pretty clear cut, so it's easy to do the opposite of the previous run through. Just about the rest are "get X total kills with Y weapon" which are all but guaranteed since ammo is a scarcity so you'll end up using just about any gun the game gives you and it mixes up the variety well. In two playthroughs I got all but two trophies just in the natural course of gameplay, and picked those up within about 30 minutes of starting a third.

And Infamous 2 becomes the latest addition to my platinum trophy collection. It's just sort of funny because I when I started this thread I predicted that if I ever bothered going after any 100% completion achievements it would probably be in the original. Overall the game's a lot easier than it's predecessor, particularly in regards to the trophy stuff. Everything still boils down to a "good" and "evil" choice at every fork in the road, so two playthroughs are all it really takes and there's only a handful that you really have to go out of your way for really. I don't know if the city is smaller than the one in the original or if getting around is just a lot faster but digging through the city for all the collectibles is much easier (especially with a late game upgrade that makes tracking down any stragglers a breeze.)
