Isnt that like giving someone who was fourth a bronze medal because two people tied for 2nd place? Manu was still fourth, three people scored more than him. It wont affect the contest obviously so its no big deal I just dont see the reasoning behind it.

It's cool, will explain: If I say 4th best scorer, the winner has to be the ones that picked the player that scored the 4th most points. Now...
1) Parker scored 34
2) Splitter and Green Scored 13
3) Manu scored 11
4) RJ and Bonner scored 10
Now, because RJ and Bonner tied in the 4th position, both of them are wrong. As the answer only required one name (not both). Because Green and Splitter scored the same, and more than Manu, they are both is the 2nd position. I've always done this type of questions that, when/if player tie their score, the question would then have no correct answer.

Another example, was a few times I asked stuff like
"Who will rebound more = Howard / Love"
"This team will outscore the other in the 3Q = SAS / LAL"
Just examples. If Howard and Love rebound the same, both answers are wrong, and no actually outrebounded the other. If SAS and LAL tie the quarter, no one outscored the other, so clearly both answers are wrong. If for example, Duncan would have also scored 34 points, like Parker, he would have tied with Parker on the 1st posotion, Splitter/Green would still be in the 2nd position and RJ/Bonner would still be 4th position.
Hope is more clear.
I understood the basis behind it and knew thats what Jeebus was referring to, just dont see the reasoning behind it. To me technically Manu was the fourth leading scorer for the Spurs tonight since three players scored more than him. The way Ive always seen that is you can give two guys a silver if they tie for it but that doesnt mean the guy that just missed out on a medal moves up a spot to get a bronze. Hes still fourth.
No worries though, as long as you make it clear that thats how youll score it (which you just did in your last two posts) then its fair.
