Rising Stars Challenge: All-Star Weekend

First off, this might turn out to be the lamest All-Star weekend of All-Time. The three point shooting contest field is lackluster with a bunch of guys no one really cares about outside of Love. The dunk contest may go down in history as the worst ever.

The thing I'm looking forward to, which has been fun recently, is the rookie-soph game. They just did the draft on NBA TV with Shaq and Chuck.

Both Kawhi and Tiago were in the game and they were two of the last 6 picks :lol

Charles got both Kawhi (who was one of the last 4 taken and drawn out of a box to Charles) and Tiago (who was the last pick before names got thrown in the box).

This should be a fun game though and Tiago will be paired with Cousins so that should be pretty damn nice.

Because his rookie year was missed completely due to injury therefore it did not count. Last year, even though drafted a year prior, was counted as his rookie season since it was his first game. This is his sophomore year.

I don't think the question was regarding eligibility. I think the question is regarding WHY he would play this game when he's already going to be in the ASG on Sunday. Tim was selected for the R/S game as a rookie, but excused when he was elected to the ASG.

I was watching something else on TV, but took a look at the box score on NBAdotcom. Near the beginning of the second half they showed that Kawhi had played 50-something seconds and had a +/- of -2. I switched channels real quick. The bastards. Kawhi didn't get in the game. Now they fixed the box score. First time I've ever seen that happen.

Edit: Now they are FINALLY showing him as a DND - Calf Strain. Just now.
