From 2008-2010 he actually put up some pretty good numbers. 14-10 on 47% shooting and 40-45% from the 3pt line.

I remember thinking to myself that Boston got a nice player whose going to add some outside shooting and rebounding last year. But he made 0 impact and went from making 11million in 2011 to the veterans minimum with the lakers. Now hes averaging 18 minutes and 3 points on a team that has no bench??

Always seemed too soft to me. You can't be undersized AND under powered

Kobe.

he has had open shots he is missingmost of them ...he would also benefit from a PG. Because now he pretty much is just a spot up shooter.

Kobe is shooting too much, but his extra shots especialy the bad ones should go to Pau and Bynum, not Murphy.

It's Kobe. Numbers don't lie.

HUh? It's Kobe? He is the reason why Murphy misses open jumpers?

I get Kobe is the reason why the offense stagnates ...but like DPG says that doesnt make any sense ...

Hes definitely struggling from the field. His FG% the last 3 years has been 34%, 42% and 43%. He seems to be shooting well from the 3 though, 43% at about 1.5 shots a game. At the very least he should still be an effective floor spreader like he was a few years ago. Such a dramatic drop off.

Look at Murphy's #'s the last 3 seasons then look at them this year. What changed? The basket is still 10 feet high.

Exactly.
I would blame Kobe for the Lakers high turn overs, poor ball movrement, and even his contributions to our shitty 3 point shooting. But saying the rim is still 10 feet has nothing to do with this and makes little sense. Players lose their legs and shooting touch all the time. What happened to Sasha after he signed his contract? rim was still 10 feet and he played with Kobe both years ...

why is Batum knocking down 3's when he could not consistently do it last year? Rim is still 10 feet high, I could go on, but im guessing you get the point ...

whats funny is that so many of us upstairs would have killed to have Murphy or McRoberts Next to TD.

theres only a handful of bigs who can actually play, whether they can transfer that to another team and system is another thing...

the problem is we have dead weight on the roster, not willing to break up the big3....now looks like we have so much depth on the wings, makes it more expendable to look for a big next season....
