Where would I go about looking for one in San Antonio? How much do they run? We never have had a dog because my daughter has really bad eczema but the other day played with a yorkie and she was fine so I read on them and they seem to be OK for people with eczema. I ask our friend where she got her dog but she said her X had got it for her. I want to get the family a dog as they always wanted one but man I have a hard time swallowing the prices of them.

You tried the classifieds?

A friend of mine bought one from a breeder in the hill country I believe. It cost her $1600.

My gf went through a yorkie rescue agency to get hers. I think it cost somewhere around 300 or so for a pure bred 5lb yorkie. The rescue agency came out to the home, checked out the place, and submitted our names to a deciding panel. Everything went well. I think the name of the place is Chris's Rescue Angels.

I know but I need one that will not set my daughter's eczema off. She can't even go to our aunts house because hey have a small dog mix and the dog isn't even in the room but she starts scratching till she bleeds. Damn they cost alot, maybe no dog for now.

I'd say check Craigslist or that Yorkie rescue mentioned above, as they are definitely high priced pooches. Those dogs have an odd odor to them, they are cute but I can't tolerate it---must be the long hair?

They must have impaired scent senses or never had fritos

I wasn't thrilled about shelling out that kind of money either, but we've had ours for a little over a year now and it's one of the best decisions I've made. We paid $1,300 for ours and she's worth every penny. Trust me, you won't regret it.
